Worth going out of your way for

Food here was great. The chicken and the produce were top quality and prepared with a great deal of attention and care. Highly recommended.

It's not surprising this yakitori restaurant was awarded one Michelin star. Toriki was a stellar meal. The many cuts of chicken were all perfect. The chicken was often cooked rare, one piece very rare, and was quite delicious. The chicken wing was maybe the best I've ever had. Quite reasonably priced and the chef was very kind.

We hadn't tried any yakitori during our stay in Tokyo yet, so found a restaurant called Toriki in the area that we were in around the Skytree that had a Michelin star. We didn't have any reservations, but they were able to seat us about an hour after we checked in. The space is quite small, with a bar seating... More

Greatest chicken I've ever put in my mouth!!! Also the tomato, I'm not kidding. The tomato they gave me at the end of service was the most fantastic food stuff I've ever eaten. I'm actually planning a trip just to go to toriki, again! Can't wait!

Went here with my boyfriend last night after going to the skytree. It was a fun experience the chef was very friendly and he understood English which was very helpful, they have an English menu for food and drink. It was a set menu of different skewers of meat and vegetables as well as a few side dishes. It was... More

it's been over 16 months (April/May 2014) since I was in Japan so this review is based on an old memory. We went here since it was on Anthony Bourdain and also had a michelin star. There were 4 of us and we did the omakase. This restaurant is entirely yakitori (skewers) and exclusively chicken. so you end up getting... More

We had amazing food. The chef was very kind, easy to communicate with in English, and very accommodating of the fact that I don't eat meat. It was also incredibly cheap.

It is a small place and it was full. Als in previous review we had to wait two hours, so try to reserve! It was worth waiting though. Excellent food, authentic Japanese atmosphere and good service. We went for the course. Sounds as a lot of food but is in Japanese portions so the just amount of food. Very recommandable.

Wow! I've eaten in many top restaurants in Japan, but this meal was my most memorable. We stumbled upon this restaurant through a lucky accident :) We had learnt about yakitori through Anthony Bourdain's show which featured a restaurant that is also called Toriki. Our tripadvisor search had found this one though (which has a Michelin star by the way).... More
