This is a great place to have drinks and has a wonderful view of the city. I expected it to be more like an American bar but was pleasantly surprised when it was more quite, upscale and not packed. We are staying in Shinjuku so are lucky that this is a 15min walk way...even if you are not staying in... More

We googled Peak of Joy based on an earlier review and decided to give it a shot. This is a unique venue that apparently appeared in the movie "Lost in Translation" (as did the New York grill a few floors above us). The view would have been outstanding if not for the smog/haze. But the unlimited cocktails with various courses... More

An Amazing Place to check out at Tokyo, be it day or nite, the view of Tokyo City from the Peak Bar is amazing. You get to see the whole of Tokyo from this point. You should check out the place from 4 PM till late evening and trust me this is going to be one of the finest experiences.... More

Great value daily menu with unlimited booze/soft drinks available for a two hour period between 5 and 9 pm. The views are just as good as from the New York Grill, but it's quieter and smoke-free. Excellent cocktails!

A friend recommended the Peak Bar, after her recent trip to Tokyo based on; 1) no cover charge 2) Non-smoking and 3) The "Peak of Joy" promotion they are currently doing. Peak of Joy is basically a 2 hour deal where for 5200 yen you can drink as much as you want from a cocktail list plus eat a taster... More

Gorgeous view. The NY Bar is the one 4 flights higher, but charges 22 Yens/person as cover on top of already expensive drinks! This one has a great view as well, but is less crowded with no Jazz music blasting. Still great place to have one drink, mainly to see the hotel which is really one of the most beautiful... More

I already detailed my Peak Bar experiences in my Park Hyatt review so I won't repeat the same stuff here. Until this past trip, I'd only been to the Peak Bar at night & have always considered it one of the best places in the city for amazing night views. Not surprising but the daytime views are just as great.... More

Cleary, the New York Bar and Grill is THE bar at Tokyo`s Park Hyatt, well known for its fantastic service, fabulous location and outstanding food and drinks accompanied by live entertainment and known as THE bar from Sofia Coppolas Lost in Translation. But THE PEAK BAR is just a little less outstanding but yet a very very nice place to... More
