Normally, when people think about all you can eat, the image of cheap meat comes to mind. However, in Rokkasen, it's all you can eat DELICIOUS MEAT OMNOMNOM. We tried the 2nd option since we were broke from the shopping spree. It felt like orgasm. Continuously since it's all you can eat. I'm pretty sure we left the place 10... More

English menu was available, so that made ordering easier. Since we made a reservation, we were seated on the 7th floor in a private room (no view though). We chose shabu shabu over the grill. Service was really good, all the waiters could speak basic english. I love how there was a bell (button) in the room so that we... More

What are you folks talking about? You realize people go by these reviews and when a place is number two in Tokyo it should be wonderful. This place is hot, cramped and way overpriced. Fancy beef? Please. Go to walmart. Slice their Walmart strip in thin slices. Stick that on a metal grill and ask an Asian guy to come... More

Close by to Shinjuku Station is this amazing restaurant. All different types of meals/buffets available but the one we went for and was delicious was the "all you can eat in 90 minute" one. It is a bit more expensive than the general restaurants around it but it was definitely worth it. Once the original plate comes out you are... More

Beside lunch set that have reasonable price compare to the quality of the beef that you would get. Rokkasen is the only place that offer you Matsuzaka Yakiniku Buffet with reasonable price. Not only Matsuzaka beef, but King Crab and Blowfish are also included in the menu! Lower rank of beef set for buffet also available, though still enough to... More

If you want to have quality food, while you don't want to spend 3000 yen on a single piece of wagyu beef and get half full only. This is the place you want to go! Arrived this restaurant in 9pm after shopping in bic camera next to it, there were lots of people waiting for seats. Make sure you make... More

Went to this place from a friend's recommendation who lived in Tokyo for a few months, it was a bit hard to find but the website does have directions you can follow to lead you there. Had to make reservations since the restaurant is pretty full, mine was made 2 weeks in advance. They do have English speaking staff and... More

Great beef and aside that is not bad. I went there for lunch. The beef from normal buffet set is just superb already. Cannot imagine of the matsusaka beef buffet. The price is triple though. The normal set is too good for me already. They also serve taraba, fuku, vegetable, soup, etc. good value for quality food. Service is not... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
