Had tried to get a table last time I was in Tokyo but always fully booked. This time they squeezed us in and it was definitely worth the wait. Growing up in Scotland I use Aberdeen Angus as my benchmark for good beef and even so, shabu shabu did not disappoint. The marbling was perfect and the thin slices cooked... More

We got here because we saw the great reviews on TA. Finding it is a bit hard, since it is located in the 5th floor of a buildind. When we got there, there was only shabu shabu. We didn´t know what that was, but also read great reviews, so we went for it. It was an absolutely amazing experience. All... More

This place is a must go everytime I'm in Tokyo! Japanese beef is just amazingly delicious and this place has got it's cut down to a science!! It's not known as the best Shabu Shabu in Tokyo but I personally think it's the most bang for the buck! Ive tried so many other places but no where else offers the... More

Located on the 5th Floor of a building close to Isetan. Typical Japanese setting. Very friendly service. Some waitress can even speak English. 3 types of beef to choose from. i.e. normal, high grade and extra high grade. All served with 2 sauces namely peanut and ponzu sauce with radish and carrot. We even had the opportunity to eat Fugu... More

We found this restaurant after looking for the best Shabu Shabu option in Shinjuku area. The place is not easy to find as it is located on the 5th floor of a commercial building and all indications are written in Japanese. There are various Shabu Shabu menu options according to the quality of the Kobe beef. We opted for the... More

If you want top class shabu-shabu, Kisoji is the restaurant to go to. Every ingredient seems to be carefully selected - maybe with the insignificant exception of the Chinese cabbage... As starters we had an outstanding tempura, where especially the mushrooms were astonishing. We also had extra fresh sashimi that was melting in the mouth. All this done with very... More

Quaint, intimate setting and delicious food. There are no tourists here, and not much English is spoken. However, our waitress was extremely sweet and we pointed and ordered. You get an intimate booth with a paper/bamboo door. Tons of vegetables and meat. Great price for all the food you get.

The service is great, very friendly, limited English but they try very hard. The beef is amazing, worth paying the extra. The portions arnt huge for the price but best order an extra portion of thick noodles for the filler :-) overall a fun and pleasant experience

Portions are very small. Frankly for that price I am used to having plenty of meat and ingredients to get satisfied over a lengthy meal. Seems that here you are paying for them to cook for you which is really not necessary and little annoying for Shabu shabu. Shabu shabu should be cooked and eaten at your own pace with... More

Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
