Friendly staff, adventurous and delicious sushi

Our family (kids 11 and 13) had a great time at Numazuko. The sushi selection was very good, plenty of today's specials, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They prepared the kids' favorites (cucumber and sesame) time and time again with good grace and with small tasters of Japanese... read more

This is quite good considering it's quite cheap and reasonably priced for sushi dining experience. Order the sushi from the chefs which are a little better than those available on the conveyor belt ones. Do not expect too much.

Good quality / price ratio, and friendly staff. Can have long waits during prime lunch and diner times. One of the better kaiten sushi places in Tokyo, with similar price point and quality level as Zenmai. They specialize in nama sakura ebi (raw baby shrimp) and nama shirasu (raw baby anchovies) from Shizuoka prefecture; I would recommend trying both of... More

Highly recommend eating at this restaurant if you get a chance. It's a little hard to find in the train station, but a Japanese person in the station helped us find it. We got a booth next to the conveyor belt, and found it very easy and fun to choose sushi. There were many options for sushi (with a few... More

I was in Tokyo for a 3 day visit and of course I had to have sushi while I was there. I initially found this restaurant via Yelp but when I asked my hotel concierge for some suggestions this restaurant was on their list of recommended places to try. So off I went to Shinjuku station. My hotel concierge's directions... More

It's a very big sushi circle in a underground station. I was there around 7:30pm and I had to wait outside in the cold to get a seat. But it went quick, around 15min waiting time. They have, like everywhere else, different coloured plates, with different prices and you can also order, but in the menu they don't have pictures,... More

We stayed in a nearby apartment and the owner recommended this restaurant to us. Full of locals, always busy every time we went. On our first night in Tokyo we went here and a father and son asked us to sit with them so they could practice their English & we gratefully had their help with ordering everything. Don't take... Ate here with a friend who lives in Tokyo, even the locals like the sushi here. It is located in Shinjuku station so maybe people unfamiliar with the place can find it difficult to be found. All of the sushi was interesting, pretty ^^ and tasty. Sushi ranges from around 100 yen till the most expensive was 1000 yen. Menu... More

Ate here on our last night in Tokyo. Great food and service. There was a small line when we joined, but it moved very quickly. Lots of choices on the conveyor belt and an a la carte menu for the less popular / more expensive options. Different coloured plates correspond to different prices. Plates can go from 90 yen to... Staying in Shinjuku

Neighborhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
