An old establishment that was packed with local customers upon arrival. Food doesn't disappoint though as it is well prepared. Batter was done well. Service was good as we were foreigners and they explained how some of the dishes were supposed to be savoured. Do visit while in Shinjuku

This well known restaurant is located on a quiet side street near Shinjuku Station east exit. It gets very busy so suggest going early or in between peak meal times. The tempura was good, although the batter was thicker than expected. Nice place for lunch in a traditional setting.
