A Taste of Lyon in Tokyo

Great French decor and welcoming staff. We were ushered to a front table under the cast iron spiral staircase, one of many items imported from Lyon to decorate the restaurant. Had to watch your head to get past it, but a nice outlook! While waiting they served a nice crusty light rye sourdough... read more

Poor and discriminatory service from japanese staff. Average atmosphere. Shame for Michelin star restaurant.

Authentic French Cuisine, very creative chef, attention to detail, high-quality seasonal ingredients, professional and friendly service, great location, extensive wine selection and all for a very reasonable price (less than 5000 JPY dinner course menu)... This restaurant has it all, one of my favorite in Tokyo.

I decided to have a lunch in this Michelin star French style Tokyo restaurant and was lucky to get a seat without reservation on Sunday. It is five minute walk from JR Iidabashi Station, but I failed to find it right away, being confused by the map available at the restaurant website. The map does not show all the streets.... More

I visited this restaurant on 3 May 2013 and ordered a set lunch priced at Yen 2850. When I was served with a basket of bread, I asked for some butter to go with it. At the end, Yen 350 (plus 5% tax) was added to the bill for that little piece of butter. It's quite mean for them to... More

There's never enough time to try all the different types of restaurants in Tokyo, but this is one of our favorites. If you don't get the chance (such as us) to go to France as often as you would like, this restaurant does a very good job of taking you back to authentic mouthwatering cuisine. Importantly, the place is not... More

worth visit if you're tired of Japanese food. food is tasty, although it seems as the last ingredient is missing. Staff wants to be helpful but confuses the requests when you address them in French. The knowledge if English is poorer) as a dessert try lemon salad with basil taste - this one worth the whole meal)

I am French, I have been to Lugdunum twice with my friends and both times I have been really surprised to find such good food at a reasonable price. I think this restaurant is one of the best cost performance french restaurants in Tokyo. It's a nice and casual place where you can enjoy authentic Lyonnaise cuisine. You won't get... More

I did lots of research to find a moody french style restaurant in Tokyo and came up with this very very good restaurant. Food and service was exceptional. Yoshi san took great care of us as did the other 2 French staff/management. After dinner walked around the area full of great bars and clubs - very nice streets, very Tokyo... More

Staying in Yotsuya / Iidabashi

Neighborhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
