I do not want to share this information about Ta-im with others but I must. I have been to many restaurants, Ta-im may not be fancy but it has heart & soul. This comes from Dan & Akiko, who make Ta-im what it is. The place maybe small, but that is what makes it so special. When you are sitting... More

Title says it all really. This is a small, cozy place with very nice food, not a fancy place but nevertheless great. Lots of good vegetarian/vegan options, in addition to nice meat dishes. The place is small so if you're more than two persons a reservation is recommended.

Four of us had dinner in this tiny little restaurant not too far from Hiroo station, what I liked the most is how friendly the host is, he really knows how to treat his customers and make them feel home. The food was really good and reasonably priced, especially considering that area of Tokyo. Will definitely go back if I... More

I went for lunch one day with my heavily-pregnant friend. And wow! We had good lunch then. Both Hummus and Falafel on my big lunch-plate were yummy and simply reminded me of my time in the Middle East. Pita-bread also went perfectly fine with Hummus and Falafel. Moreover, the owner and a woman behind the counter were very nice and... More

Family dinner during our travels in Japan. This was extremely enjoyable with lovely fresh food and flavours and welcoming feel from chef and his wife. Surprisingly good Viognier from Golden Heights in Israel. The lamb and beef kebabs were the best I've ever had. They are mixed together on a cinnamon stick. I've always disliked dips like hummus and baba... More

I was craving for some good vegetarian food during my stay in Japan. (And not just a rice ball from 7eleven...) And when I heard about this place I new I have to go. Finally some good vegetables, fresh pita bread, and very well done hummus!! The falafel was also great. And it's definitely not just for vegetarians!! I'm sure... More

Just visited Ta-im because I wanted to introduce a friend to Israeli food and was pleasantly surprised! The food is super fresh and delicious! They have a good selection of Israeli beers and wines too :) And on top of that, it's family owned/run and I can't compliment them enough! Super friendly and kind family :) Go and try the... More

The menu is quite small but will have something for everyone - both vegetarians and meat eater. I had the big vegetarian plate and my husband had the lamb plate. He said the lamb was incredible tasty. My food was incredible tasty too, amongst other things I had the best baba ganoush (Aubergine paste) that I ever had. We have... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
