Great coffee. Better atmosphere.

This place makes really great coffee. I ordered the cappucino doppio, which was a great strong milk coffee (something that seems to be hard to find in Tokyo- a city dominated by sickly sweet vending machine coffee). However even better than the coffee, was the ambience of this place. A hole in... read more

Nestled in a Michiya (tradition wooden house), Omotesando Koffee may go unnoticed if you do not know of it's existence. Probably the best kept secrets (not any more) in Omotesando, Eiichi Kunitomo runs this small place alone, making you feel very at home. There's a courtyard just outside for you to sip on your cuppa before your next pitstop. Served... More

Out of all the cafes I went to during my trip, Omotesando Koffee was the best. So much so that I had 2 cups (a mocha and a latte) as I wasn't sure if I would be able to make my way there again during my stay in Tokyo. The place is small with only 2 benches outside and luckily... More

This place is breathtaking. Such a beautiful little space. When we got here, it was just the three of us and we ordered and sat outside on the benches (there are only two benches to sit on). By the time we got our coffee, this place became busy quickly and a short line up outside the little house began to... More

Taste, As well as space is exotic. Instead, there is no place to sit.

The setting is unique and intriguing. Backstreets of Omotesando, a block and a half behind Maisen Tonkatsu is a nondescript house which serves as the setting for a lone barista who knows his stuff. Wonderful coffee, served with a smile and appreciation of the customer. Definitely worth a visit.

It was quite hard spotting this joint amidst the alleys of Ometosando , but the long que outside the cafe is a give away that might as well spoil the scavenging. I've tried 3 items : the iced and warm cuppicino as well as the custard cakes , all were sublime . Though what impressed me the most was the... More

Simply the BEST coffee in Tokyo! Tucked away in the wonderful little backstreets of Tokyo this is my favourite coffee spot in Tokyo. Wonderful service, amazing design and carefully produced, delicious coffee.

This place is hard to find even with Google map. Nearest train station is otomesando. But if you're a coffee lover with time to kill and feeling adventurous, you can stop at shibuya station and walk here, stopping by Streamer coffee along the way. It's a pretty long walk, but I thoroughly enjoy it due to the nice cooling weather.... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
