I'd experienced sushi on rotating belts before. This was new: order noodles at machine, retrieve ticket, sit at individual, anonymous cubicle, check boxes on ramen specification, hand to server (without seeing their face), get served through a little window without ever seeing soup arrives. Curtain closes after order is complete. Amazing. Quality of ramen: delicious. Double extra pork & spicy,... More

Kudos to the "anti-social" dining experience and that you can customise the noodles you want, but I've had soooo much better ramen in Menya musashi in shinjuku. It was hard to find at first, until I realize it was just opposite the condomania shop ( you really can't miss this). I tried to add extra stuff to the noodles but... More

As a Ramen lover I was actually disappointed by this place. It was the second Ramen we had in Osaka and the night before a local man who worked at a food stall pointed us to a tiny place which had the best Ramen I had ever eating in my life. Perfection. This Ramen was inferior, the broth was not... More

i have been to tons of ramen shops in Tokyo, and by far i think Ichiran is the best! I love the set up and not only that the options you have with how you want your ramen made. You can chose the level of almost everything on your ramen, how garlicky, how spicy, how chewy you want your noodles,... More

The best ramen I've ever had. The broth is just perfect. A very different and unique dining experience too. It's hard to find so when you see Zara, look for the red sign to the left. Walk down the stairs to the entrance. You will then order with a vending machine. Put in your money, then choose the ramen choice... More

The best ramen - you have to Q to buy a ticket form the vending machine before proceeding to a 'cubicle'. An unusual way as you do not see your neighbour or any servers. There is a form to complete to have option of soup type:- strong, weak..etc. and this is passed through an opening to the kitchen. When the... More

we're not surprised from the ichiran ramen taste. because we have so many similar ramen shops in my country. it's the 24hr and how we ordered that i feel new. we visited Shinjuku' Ichiran around 2am and ordered our ramen through vending machine like upon entrance. and then go to cubicle-like-table. the table designed for 1 people and they have... We went here twice on our trip to Tokyo and loved it. You order your ramen choice from the machine in the entrance then get given a form with your preferences for noodle firmness, stock strength etc. while you wait to be seated. You then get allocated your own wee booth with the quickest service ever. The ramen here is... More

Customized to your liking, the interesting layout of the place allows you to slurp the noodles in private and Ichiran never fails to disappoint! Order the egg, extra garlic, a kaedama, extra meat.

First time in Tokyo, after finding out you need to purchase most of your meals from the vending machine is became easier to order buy food here. Once i order the food you give your ticket to the worker and they made it and bring you the food. The ramen here was soo good I would defiantly recommend it, such... More
