Wow, we did wait for over an hour but the food and price worth it. After you get a number go for shopping and get back after 45-60 min. Even if you get a few minutes after they called the number, you still get in. We had 1 tray of Sushi and 2 rolls and paid less than 2000 per... More

Well worth the 45 minute wait (although we went during off peak hours at around 430pm). For JPY2,800 we each got a large plate of fresh sushi - none of us could finish our plates but it was so good we kept going anyway! Service was great - the staff was attentive and helpful Definitely recommend checking out this place!

I'm a real sucker for this place. I was here twice on my previous trip, and came back twice again this trip! It is probable that you can find a "better" sushi place or a "authentic" place. However, I truly think that for the heart of notoriously expensive Tokyo, this has got to be one of the best value sushi... More

So I did not have to wait that long, I would say 20-30 mins, I did go alone. I sat alongside a couple other sushi goers felt like I was with company even though I was alone. Very busy very authentic. A bit hard to find, but well worth the hunt! A 10 in my book ;)

We visited Midori twice this trip. First visit took us 3 hours to get a table (weekend), second visit took us an hour (came at 11am upon opening). Catch: grab a number with their auto machine at the door, go shopping after that and come back often to check so you don't miss your table. Food is excellent, try their... More

A friend that had lived in Tokyo for seven years recommended this little spot to me as a must-visit for a long weekend in the city a couple years ago. I have since made it a habit of showing up there half an hour before they open to queue up every time I find my way into the city. For... More

We were invited here by friends from Tokyo, and it was great. Several dozens of sushi restaurants later, I still think I've eaten my best sushi ever at this place, although I didn't care much for the uni.

Maybe it is not Jiro, but it is an excellent sushi. Huge and delicious pieces of fresh fish on well-cooked balls of rice. A good variety. Very reasonable prices - it is actually quite cheap. There is always a long cue, but it goes fast. Recommended.

I hit a lot of the renowned sushi places on my visit to Tokyo and must say this was the best. The value, the fact you only have to wait an hour (except prime dinner hours), and the tuna made this my favorite by far. Located in Mark City. You can grab a ticket and go for a stroll. Be... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
