There's only 1 word to describe their ramen. Heaven. This place is a short 5 minutes walk from Ebisu Metro. It's open into early hours of the morning. I'd order the classic special ramen which I would highly recommend. I've been to a few ramen shops in Tokyo, and this is the best by far. Can't wait to return again.... More

Compared to the many other ramen joints I've visited in Japan, this place seemed like a warm and quiet neighborhood joint, hard to believe looking around that this is the same place that I waited three hours for in NYC! Loved the ramen, the atmosphere (mostly locals with no wait on Sunday at 6pm), and the incredible mini gyoza! Ramen... More

We ordered Ippudo Karaka and Shiromaru Special. Ippudo Karaka was a spicy ramen which you can decide the level of spiciness. I opted for 5 and it was super hot even to Malaysian standard. So if you are a fan of spiciness, do order Ippudo Karaka. Shiromaru Special on the other hand is the normal non spicy version ramen, which... More

ร้าน Ippudo Ramen(一風堂) I like Akamaru Ramen so much (The red bowl). The soft thin and long noodle with delicious soup. เครื่องเคียงที่จัดไว้บนโต็ะ ที่เป็นถั่วงอกผัดน้ำมันงา อร่อยมาก

I've tired it in New York City and it was not that impressive. But this one is so much better than what you can have in NY. The dumplings are especially tasty with extremely thin layer. The decoration is interesting as well.

Pros: - no line, not too crowded, the location is about 6-7 min walk from Ebisu station - decent hakata reman - creamy soup, thin noodle and tasty chashu - takana, pickled ginger, shallot and lots of others - reasonable price, open until 4:00AM and friendly services Cons: - easily eat too much Kaedama - some walk from the EBisu... Slightly off the main streets of Ebisu, this Ippudo offers the true rustic look and takes the reputation for being the 1st Ippudo to be opened in Tokyo many many years ago. Having been to different Ippudo stores dotted around Tokyo - Ginza, Roppongi, Omotesando, I still prefer the Ebisu store by far. It is usually less crowded, the team... More

We stayed close to this place so ended up going here twice in our 5 day stay at Tokyo. It was the best ramen we had in all of Tokyo! The broth had such depth of flavor its hard to explain. I ordered the minced meat ramen both times with 8 spices (level 3). It was the perfect combination of... More

Simply the best ramen I got the chance to eat. Perfect ! Plus for the price you have more than enough to be ready to go to visit Tokyo for another day.

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighborhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
