Lively and cramped, good atmosphere, pleasant attentive staff and lovely, spicy thai food. Noisy, and slightly claustrophobic, but not by Tokyo standards I'm sure. We had a great time, loved the food. The glass noodles didn't work for me, but all the other dishes did. Especially the chicken with cashew nuts. Good value for money. What's not to like?

On Saturday night, I went to the Kaffir Lime Thai Restaurant in Harajuku for the first time in several years. The food has always been good, but last time I visited the restaurant was too smoky to really enjoy it. There weren't many smokers at the time, but in such a small restaurant the space became smoky easily. Last night... More

While people wait in line to get gyoza at a restaurant downstairs, you can zip right on upstairs to Kaffir Lime. We had lunch on a busy Saturday, but still got a window seat quickly. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is that the Thai Iced Tea came with plastic packets of condensed milk, rather than being... More

Small but good thai restaurant. The curry was very delicious but the fried glassnoodless didn't satisfy. Can be crowded in the evening!

This restaurant is a little gem just off the main drag off Omotesando-dori. Surprisingly for Japan some of the dishes here have a real kick ,obviously depending on what you order The morning glory blew me away but in a good way.The pork curry with young peppercorns is fantastic and up there as one of the best Thai currys i... After travelling for awhile in Japan I was really needing to get some spice. I have been enjoying Japanese food but I was missing some tasty spices, wasabi was just not making the grade. So I thought to try this Thai place, Kaffir Lime. I ordered a green chicken curry and was not disappointed. There was no coriander but the... More

It's actually quite difficult to find good thai food, especially in Tokyo but Kaffir Lime has come to the rescue! Incredible food! Over the past couple of years I think I've had almost everything on the menu and there are no disappointments. It is usually very busy so either try to call for a reservation or be prepared to wait... More

This restaurant is tiny, and you may have to share a table with other patrons. That said, the Thai food at this place is worth it. I strongly recommend the deep fried wantons, the crispy chicken, tom yum ramen, and of course, the pad thai. Be prepared to wait though, as this place gets pretty crowded.

An atmospheric sweet Thai restaurant just off the main drag in Omotesando. The food is fresh and very tasty and reasonably priced. It was a little smokey the evening we went there but still had a very enjoyable meal.

Before I write about Kaffir Lime I must first bemoan the demise of Tom Yum Goong in the world. As a frequent traveller and attentive epicure I have searched near and far for the perfect Tom Yum Goong. My introduction, almost 30 years ago, was by another world traveller who had lived in Bangkok like me. Subsequently I discovered the... More
