Wow, what an amazing restaurant! Innovative food based on extremely fresh ingredients. The Kobe beef "sushi" was amazing! As was the swordfish, the blue cheese risotto with scallops. The service is extremely friendly, and they speak great English. Booking recommended.

Very popular place. Lots of foreign tourists. Don't expect to just walk-in for dinner. You'll need a reservation. Portion size is quite large so be careful when ordering. Staff tends to try to oversell a bit. Fish is top quality and delicious. Lost a star for essentially rushing us out the door when we were done with our meal even... More

This is an amazing restaurant with fantastic vibe and great innovative seafood food in a funky electric atmosphere. It is busy- maybe a bit cramped so go on off times if looking for a chill meal- go in busy time (with a reservation) if looking for a scene. I go here whenever I can.

Highly recommend Kaikaya restaurant. Amazing food with a first class service. We had the incredible fresh tuna, spare rib style which is the house special at 1000 JPY. The self roll sushi is to die for and also alot of fun. Recomnend the Sangria, it is authentic with a Japanese twist. Shared a pitcher at 1350 Yen approx £7. Overall... More

Booked for 7pm on a Thursday evening and in finding the restaurant discovered a great area to explore. We booked the smoking section as we were advised that it was more entertaining than the non smoking area, and although a reformed smoker I wasn't at all effected by any smokers. Was a good move to watch all the happenings around... More

We had a very wonderful seafood dinner at the restaurant. The fresh seafood makes the restaurant lives up to its name "By the Sea".... The service is excellent and the waiters speak good English and recommend their specialities to us. The highlights include: Tuna cheek/rib in special sauce, fresh sashimi, fresh tiger prawn. The only downside is that the restaurant... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel's concierge, and for good reason! An eight course meal that had some of the best sashimi I have ever eaten! The chef's favorite part was their shrimp with shrimp sauce, and I agree! OMG! My only complaint was just too much food! The restaurant is next to shinsen station, about two... More

Best meal I've had in Japan so far! Flawless set menu - usually you get a few forgettable dishes, but this was 8 courses of perfectly served seafood, really fresh, very tasty. The whole place has a great atmosphere, so lively and fun. Absolutely a must!

This place was so good! I went there twice within 3 days! It's not to be missed. I would order one of the multi courses. It's just amazing! I would recommend calling ahead of time for seating since this place is not so big. Please note, smoking is allowed so if you have allergies, it may not be the best... More

My Japanese friend Hiro recommended me to this restaurant in Shibuya, me and my wife booked through our hotel customer service counter. The waiter recommended us to take their set dinner menu which my wife was quite skeptical about it, but finally one by one the dishes that they served surprises us, it has a blend of traditional Japanese with...
