Dependable bread

I would visit Boulangeries Paul very often to get a baguette from the oven when I was in Paris. Really glad their bread is consistently good even outside France. We ordered the tuna salad lunch and the quiche lunch, both include a basket of bread and drink. Needless to say it tasted good. The... read more

Good quality of bread. I wanted a simple baguette with cheese and salad. It was not on the menu but they still made it for me. Maybe the tea was a little expensive $5.. Good atmosphere.

the cakes and bread , look good, they taste a lot less good, as always to much butter , too rich , when you find European baking in Japan, and the price is far to high for the quality on offer

Best sandwiches in the area. Decent quality bread and good range from tuna fillings to more usual ham & tomatoes. My personnal favorite: Ancien Dieppois (tuna mix).

Have popped into Paul's a couple of times now and your are always guaranteed lively fresh pastry and good coffee. Smoking area inside pollutes the non smoking which is a shame. If this wasn't the case I would be there more. Always a wide variety of fresh sweet and savory pastry worth the stop

Great bread, nice sandwiches. If you order sausages or pizzas, they'll ask you if you would like that warmed up (I see people get confused by that all the time); Just say "hai". The restaurant portion is okay; The portions are small, but it's great to have tea/coffee and cake.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
