Too High Our Expectation

The restaurant is easy to access. few minutes walk from subway station. Restaurant not full on the night we visited. Ordered two glasses of wine and one of the glasses is half of the normal/standard portion. Since we had lunch at Quintessence on the same day, it would be interesting to make a... read more

This restaurant wouldn't last a week in Paris or New York. While the service was excellent, and the wine list short but sweet, the food was boring at best. One plate after another offered beautifully cooked ingredients unhappy to be together. Instead of waiting breathlessly for the next amazing dish, we were reduced to merely hoping to survive. We would... More

Very good quality, skills, ambiance and services. A tad pricy, but not for what you get. Will definitely try it again.

We read a review of Edition Koji Shimomura's fixed price lunch deal during a recent visit to Tokyo and managed to get a table for the next day. It was excellent - really interesting flavour combinations, beautifully presented, and with great service (despite the fact that we got a bit lost on the way and arrived rather late). Kitchen managed... More

This restaurant was to be the highlight of one of our trips to Japan. However, it turned out to be anything but. Service was attentive and professional and that is probably the best thing about the entire experience. Food was pedestrian and certainly in my opinion not worthy of its lofty position amongst the stars of michelin. The fish covered... More

An amazingly sophisticated meal in a very unobtrusive location under a tower block of offices/housing. Beautiflly prepared and presented dishes. After so much fish recently I especially loved the mini hamburghers as appetiser and, later, the succulent venison, but the fish, fried encased in noodles, with its broccoli sauce was superb. Our big disappointment, after seeing wonderful chestnut desserts being... More

My favorite restaurant in Tokyo! Fine French cuisine coupled with the lightness and delicacy of Japanese food, all dishes are incredible and never stuffing (no butter or cream used!). Besides the Chef is also very friendly and will come and speak to you at the end of meal! When I went there yesterday, all the staff remembered about me and... More
