Happened to be referred to this place by a friend and went here for our first night in Japan. The staff happened to find out it was our first night and opened a bottle of champagne to toast our arrival even though we had only ordered drinks so far. We have traveled through Italy & had great pizzas but I... More

This is a perfect illustration of the ideal Japanese dining experience - a small place (10 seats at the counter and a small table for 3), a very limited and focused menu (2 pizzas only - JPY1000 for lunch with iced tea and a small salad) and amazing ingredients. The margarita pizza was simply delicious, absolutely perfectly done and with... More

I went, finally, after listening to other residents in Tokyo about this particular place. Actually it is a slightly a hidden location at the Azabujuban "shotengai" (shopping street)...just a counter for max 10 people and a beautiful oven that burns smelling wood....it seems a real "pizzakaya"! Two kind of pizza...nothing more at lunch time: margherita or marinara well accompanied by... More

Didn't know what a "Napoli-style pizza" was. Now I know. The restaurant only has two pizzas, margherita and one with garlic. I was shocked at first, but then tasted the pizza. Just incredible! You also sit right in front of the guy who makes the pizza, which is great.

Went to this place whilst travelling around Asia, and without a doubt this is the best restaurant I have visited in my month of travels. I cannot put into words how good the pizza from this place is. All made fresh and cooked in front of you in the massive wood oven which the long 'bar' type table is sat... More

This place is hidden away and has a few chairs outside for you to wait on but boy is it worth it. Inside are about 10 chairs up against the bar which faces the huge wood burning pizza oven. You have a choice of two pizzas and lots of starters. The buffalo mozzarella was delicious and after you have finished... More

Was walking south east from the towers and looking for a bite to eat. Saw lots of high reviews for this TINY place. Decided to pop in. First impression of the place I thought it was nice for a hole in the wall restaurant. At most 10 seats, barstool style, which surrounds the oven and prep area. Menu has lots... More

I live in NYC and well traveled. Savoy is bar far the best pizza I have had. This is the first time where the sauce and crust were perfect! Highly recommend for some beer and pizza. Small simple pizza bar with some jazz music playing in the background. Service is great, received a warm and fun welcome upon arrival. Trust... More

This is by far one of the best restaurants I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot around the world). The pizza is fantastic. The montepulciano wine is a great accompaniment. Actually talked the chef into an off menu pizza this last time. For a westerners, this is a great taste of home and a fantastic break from... More

Love Savoy - simple and fantastic. Go in for a beer and a pizza or two. Also can ask for the 'blanco' which isn't on the menu, but is a very solid white pizza. Can't go wrong with any of them. There are former Savoy chefs who have opened their own places, and i've been to most but they just... More
