Lovely restaurant in a great location

We didn't see much of the gardens as it was evening but the Tokyo Tower looked very impressive. We dined with friends and it was very pleasant to have our own room only being interrupted as each exciting course was brought in and served to us. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented... read more

Walked through the garden at a breezy night was already a very delightful experience once you entered Tofuya, not the mention you are next to the Tokyo tower. We were served in our own dining room with a garden view. Food was great but the portion size may be a little much for a lady. Sushi was impressive but the... More

The restaurant sits in a beautiful Japanese garden near Tokyo tower. I had some idea of what to expect but my wife was completely blown away! How nice to go to a restaurant and be able to eat in peace, the nearest diner would was five metres away. Loved the theatre of every dish presentation.eg one dish came out in... More

Had lunch at Tokyo Shiba Tofuya Ukai with a family of 5 adults and 1 toddler. The setting was so beautiful. Our private tatami room overlooked a garden full of beautiful trees and a fish pond. It was truly serene to be dining here. I had high expectation for the food given the reviews but I was left slightly disappointed.... More

This was my second visit to this restaurant famous for tofu (bean curd). What impressed me most was its setting inside a Japanese garden (under Tokyo Tower). They have lunch menu but menus for dinner were also served. All dishes were arranged nicely and the food was tasty and fresh. The restaurant provided a relaxed atmosphere and the waitresses were... Our night out at the Tokyo Shiva Tofuya Ukai was our farewell treat to our friends on our last evening in Tokyo. Booked by them, it was specially chosen to reflect Japanese culture. It is a restaurant specialising in Tosui tofu, nestled at the foot of the Tokyo Tower. At the entrance, we were greeted by a bowing bouquet of... More

Resting in a reasonably newly constructed Japanese garden right under the Tokyo Tower this restaurant is well worth a visit. The food is very good and the service is excellent. All parties have their own tatami room with an attendant just for your party. You choose a set menu before you arrive . Most dishes involve tofu in ways you... More

Excellent location, marvellous food, great experience! Lunch is an option if you want to save some money and is certainly worth the visit considering that the service is outstanding and the view from the private room makes.

I remembered how convenient this restaurant was after my visit to Tokyo Towers. It's very easy to book just need one day in advance notice from me at that point of time! The food is authentic and traditional! It's fine dining the jap way! :)

I was looking for a place to show a friend of mine kaiseki-style lunch or dinner and the fact that this one has a nice little garden and is at a great photo spot made this a no-brainer. If you don't speak Japanese well, you can have your hotel assist you with reservations and this place does get busy! We... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
