Amazing setting and food

The restaurant is huge--more like an inn, with gardens and ponds, than a restaurant in the middle of Tokyo. The grounds and decorations are beautiful, and the food is remarkable. Mostly it is tofu, but there are accompaniments of fish (cooked and sushi/sashimi) and beef available. The staff were... read more

Incredible food, excellent traditional decor, kind staff. There's nothing wrong with this place. That Tokyo Tower is right above you would otherwise be missed if you didn't look up. The restaurant is in a lovely garden tucked away just underneath the tower as if you're somewhere else--out in the rural areas of Japan--incredible scenery.

Take your partner or important business partner for special occasion. They will be for sure impressed. Everything was harmonized e.g lighting up the garden, story about the restaurant , specious room at the heart of tokyo. Of course food was fantastic. Me as a Japanese got impressed. I m sure you will! Enjoy.

Phenomenal meal in one of the loveliest restaurants I've ever set foot in. Absolutely not to be missed for anyone visiting Tokyo. Every dish was a work of art. Service was of a standard not ever seen in the US. Five-star in every way.

Trying to find any restaurant in Tokyo is an exercise in patience for people like me who can't read or even vaguely recognize these lines/pictographs that make up the Japanese/Chinese language. Luckily, we found a gas station attendant who pointed us to the right "fork" in the road to take after circling around for a few minutes. We picked the... More

Nested at the foot of the Tokyo tower in a beautiful garden that makes it worth visiting for lunch rather than dinner, this former sake brewery is now a treasure of a restaurant. Don't feel pissed off by the cool welcoming, you will be very well taken care of and the food is as fine as it is beautifully presented.... More

The meal was outstanding. Every bite. When you step outside into the gardens you cannot believe Tokyo Tower and the bustle of the city is just a stones throw away. Would highly recommend going, over and over again.

This restaurant and bar are situated right at the foot of the Tokyo tower and I think it might be the most beautiful set of gardens and buildings I've seen in the whole of Japan! Each table seems to have its own tatami room, overlooking the beautiful landscaped gardens below. The food is all by set menu, so we just... More

Located just at the foot of Tokyo Tower this restaurant has wonderful ambiance boasting traditional Japanese atmosphere. Cuisine is exquisite....need to be an ardent lover of Japanese food to appreciate the sumptuous food. Need to pay a bit more than the normal! Service is great.

We visited this restaurant on a lonely planet recommendation and it totally exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is housed in a number of beautiful old buildings surrounding a tranquil japanese garden with carp ponds, bridges and maple trees. We had a two hour degustation menu of 8 courses and the most memorable on our trip to Japan. Some of the... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
