Good as expected but not really 3 star...

L'Atelier is a more casual dining experience. Plenty of seating is at the bar which overlooks the kitchen. Food is solid, best dishes are probably the lobster jelly and the wagyu burger with foie gras. I wouldn't call it 3-star quality (even though it has 3 stars), more like a 1 star place... read more

I ate here for about the 5th time - and it was as exquisite as ever. I have eaten at several of L'Ateliers, and this one is the finest. The Japanese attention to detail in the selection of ingredients, preparation and presentation, combined with Monsr. Joel's flair and creativity, makes it unbeatable at pretty much any price. The service is... More

I have been to J Robuchon in HK, London & finally Tokyo. It is nice Michelin restaurant. Excellent hospitality, great service, neat & tidy kitchen as well as wonderful foods. Just a little thing to do it better to maintain a Michelin 3 stars.... Warm the home made bread, keep good care on wine labels & let the customers to... More

My Sister and I decided to visit the restaurant after several good reviews and due to the fact that we couldn't get any reservations at its other restaurants in tokyo. All went well till dessert time, after finishing my dessert, i realized there's something funny tasting in my mouth n when I try to chew it, it couldn't be broken... More

Visiting Tokyo on my birthday we decided to celebrate my birthday in style and booked lunch at this restaurant. It was a great experience. We opted for a set menu. Every single dish we were served was beautifully presented. The service was excellent. Although the main course I chose was a bit of a disappointment (fish) the first course and... More

We visited Joel Robuchon in 2013. I know this is very late but I still want to share my experience, it was the "BEST" dinner ever eventhough we spend $1,500 USD for a night! We had 13 course :-) 1. Amuse-Bouche Le Caviar (caviar with a delicate crustacean jelly served in a surprise tin) 2. L'Oursin ( sea urchin with... More

Located in the Roppongi Hills complex, they have a well stocked bakery where you can buy a fine selection to take out. The more formal restaurant is beyond the bakery section and has both a counter seating and tables. Not cheap by any means but the quality and service makes up for the costs. If you are in a hurry,... I was at L'Atelier Robochon in Roppongi Hills on March 17 for lunch with a friend. I had previously dined with the same friend at their restaurant in Ebisu. While the Ebisu outlet was formal and reserved, the outlet in Roppongi was bustling. The ambience was pretty cool and hip. The colors of red and black dominated in a good... More

L'Atelier Roppongi Hills offer French dishes made with fresh Japanese ingredients. I ordered off the fixed lunch menu and found the pastries and dishes to be of high quality, the presentation was also very impressive. Having dined at other Robuchon establishments, I can say that the quality is consistent across the board and never disappoints. Though I might not stop... More

They don't have seats for people, who wants to drink coffee but they sell coffee and offer huge selection of pastry goods. It is oddly located and have space issue. I had experienced rude and arrogant staff twice, at this location compared to Marunouchi location. Besides, the coffee is bitter and burnt, food is below average. Atmosphere is bit dark... More
