Was a bit apprehensive for my visit here as me and my friend are both from the uk and I heard they may be a bit cold towards foreigners. Nothing could be further from the truth, we were welcomed warmly, told in detail about the sushi in great English and served beautifully. At just over an hour the pace of... More

Although it is not cheap I must say that the sushi restaurant I have eaten more special than Tokyo. If you can pay, you live the experience. We went there on a Wednesday at 17:30, did not know if we were going to lunch or dinner, as you sought. We thoroughly enjoyed. We ate sushi and sashimi fish I had... More

I would just like to say that at first I was disappointed that I could not get a reservation at Ginza being a foreigner but after my dining experience at Roppongi Hills with Takashi Jiro and his team who spoke very clear English while serving us, I could not agree more of them sending non Japanese speaking guests to Roppongi.... We managed to book this restaurant at least a month ahead and despite of the several slot we wanted was taken and we have to settle for one that is available. It is a cosy restaurant accompanied by a Jiro's assistant and himself who is very entertaining and took a lot of efforts throughout the whole course to explain each... More

Sure. Sushi is made with know how but has the Miichelan stars gone to the head of the management? Daddy wasnt there but super serious son was laying a dominant and almost derogatory fog to the visit that put the food in overshadowed supporting role making the bill at checkout to seem almost not worth it.. Even high end cared... More

What an experience, what a talent and what a place!! My wife and I were lucky enough to secure a reservation at the amazing Sukiyabashi Jiro Roponngi Hills during our honeymoon in Japan. We had hoped to get a space at the original with Jiro himself - we'd actually called in every favour we had to achieve that - and... More

The sashami and sushi were really fresh and excellent. They must be able to source the best produce. The sake was good too. We were late so the meal had to be rushed. Be on time at the pace will be better.

We were lucky enough to get a lunch reservation at the Roppongi Hills branch of Jiro (run by his younger son). We showed up 15 minutes early and the chef kindly asked us to wait and brought over some iced tea. Then the fun started. They ask if you just want sushi or sushi + sashimi (more expensive). We went... More

This certainly is not the place to go for a cozy or intimate meal with lots of ambience. Be prepared to feel surveyed by the sushi master and to start eating immediately after entering, and of course be prepared to drop quite a bit of money for this experience. Also, don't be ignorant about how to eat sushi, i.e. know... More

Went there for lunch with a Japanese friend, great to have a local friend who helped to translate. Sushi was so so so yummy, the best ever in life, excellent temperature, great texture, umami! The Salmon roe was the one iI like most, it was not salty at all, very soft and tasty, so different from any other salmon roe... More
