This is a small sushi restaurant in the Roppongi Hills area run by the son of the famed Sushi Jiro master. Pros: It's obvious to all that the son is just like his dad. An unparalleled master at his art. It is true that you are highly unlikely to ever eat as fine or as tasty sushi ever again. It's... More

we went to sukiyabahi jiro in rappongi. jiro's second son. The chef assistant spoke good english which was very helpful. it all looked like a culinary opera; the movements, the positioning of dishes, the way of serving sushi. One can only stand there as a true spectator. The experience was highly rewarding despite the price.

Words just cannot do justice to what is going on in this place. The sushi and sashimi are on a completely another level and watching them at work is bliss! I also appreciated the somehow relaxed atmosphere. The very best in sushi, hands down.

The last 6 month prior to our trip to Tokyo we tried to get a reservation at Jiros. Almost impossible but at last we managed through the help of Hilton Tokyos concerge service. Firstly it was very difficult to find the restaurant, so if you are going - it is at exit C6 at the Ginza subway station. Go down... More

Sukiyabashi Jiro, located in Roppongi Hills is Jiro Ono’s youngest son Takeshi’s mirror image of his fathers restaurant in Ginza. After decades of training, and working under his fathers watchful eye, Takeshi decided to set up his own shop, since as per Japanese tradition his older brother was to take over the fathers restaurant. Eating here is one of the... More

This was my best Sushi experience ever, and also enjoyed watching it being created right in front of us to such perfection. I ate everything that was served, even though I'm normally picky with which kinds of fish/shelfish I eat, and I'm glad I did, because this was very different from what I've tried before. As the evening went by... More

A lot of use TA as a resource for hotels, restaurants before traveling to a foreign place. MOST of the time the overall reviews are spot on, but in this case the 4 stars is not correct. This place certainly lives up to its famous name. 1 month prior to arriving in Tokyo, I asked my hotel to make a... More

Not only that it's so good and refreshing, but it pretty much made all my other sushi visit around Japan, including Tsukiji, feel inadequate. The chef puts so much attention to details to his food art and explains what he does. He has a tremendous respect for Taiwanese people because of our support during the 2011 earthquake. If you are... We had a reservation but got completely lost trying to find the restaurant, even with good directions. I showed up with my husband late, and practically in tears, thinking our sacred reservation might be cancelled, knowing how hard it was to come by and the "reputation" I had heard that this restaurant had for "austerity"...but that could not be further... I've never written a review on Tripadvisor but I just thought the negative reviews about this restaurant are completely unfair. I was a little apprehensive about going to Sukiyabashi Jiro Roppongi after reading quite a few bad reviews. Stories about the chef yelling, being unfriendly to foreigners, ripping people off, the sushi not even being that good etc. After eating... More
