Update on a previous posting. Sohan will close Bourbon Street next year. Truly the end of an era! It was great as always when I popped in this week. Last chance to eat there in the next few months. Just finishing my meal. The gumbo is amazing. I did not eat any of the seafood, but everything I tasted is fantastic. The chef was great. He's actually from Louisiana. I had gone to his South American restaurant and wanted to give this place a try. Highly recommended!

One of my most favourite dining experiences in the world. The owner/chef ensures you are well looked after and that you do not leave disappointed. With only 4 / 5 tables and a small bar you need to book. Only minutes from Roppongi Crossing, it takes to straight into Mardi Gras mode. Everything without exception was exceptional. The food is... Some of the best Cajan food I've ever had. My in laws made a reservation and it's critical that you do. A small place that can only seat a limited number of people. It's a bit pricey by American standards but keep in mind it's Tokyo and it's not easy to get in Cajan spices etc. Chef was helpful and... More

I cannot recommend this restaurant strongly enough. It's the BEST CAJUN FOOD I've ever had. The Staff is outstanding, The Service is Excellent, and the Food Quality is scrumptious. I recommend reservations. It does get very busy, as it is small in size, but humongous in delight. Those that have been to N'Orleans and liked Cajun spices, will not be... More

I happened to walk in without a booking, but had heard about the restaurant before. Fortunately, they had just had a cancellation and the chef fit us in. We tried the tasting menu. Everything without exception was wonderful. The NOLA food was authentically prepared. Starting with the gumbo, followed by a fish dish, then steak, and finishing with pecan pie... More

This restaurant serves some of the best Louisiana dishes outside of New Orleans. It is a small cosy bar resturant these days but the food is fantastic and made to order. The owner and chef is a Tokyo fixture and a very welcoming and friendly host. Always one to visit while In Tokyo.

I lived in Japan for 4 years (2004-2008), and I was not happy to discover this restaurant in the last year of my stay there. But in that year I went 3 times, one of them to celebrate my birthday and the last for my going away party. This is how much I liked this place. Food is so tasty,... More

A great little restaurant with great food. Must try the crab cakes, blackened fish and Jambalaya. It is a nice break if you would like something besides Japanese. The chef has also opened another restaurant in Azabu Juban called Chef's table which serves Latin American food. Great empanadas! Worth trying as well. Bourbon Street is in a back street of... More

Neighborhood Profile
Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
