Quick, good and cheap

If you want a quick good lunch, to keep on visiting Tokio, try this restaurant. There are many around Tokio. The service is quick and friendly. You get your food very quick as well and the price for what you get is very reasonable.

I love love their beef bowl, portion is big, taste is good, and not expensive. Chicken bowl is also good. If you're travelling in Japan and you're in a budget, you should go to this place. It wont fail you.

When I was visiting Japan, not a day would pass without me grabbing my regular ontama gyudon (beef bowl with egg) from Sukiya. The piping hot rice, tender strips of beef and tasty beef sauce is a winning combination and prices are really unbelievably cheap. Make sure to sink your teeth into one of their specialty gyudons at least once... More

I love beef bowl, can't get enough of it since living in Japan. I have to say Sukiya is one of the cheapest, fastest & most convenient places to eat at. Especially since I occasionally work night shift they are 24hrs & only take about 5 minutes to make your food. Good variety & the prices really low. I've tried... More

Sukiya, just like Yoshinoya and Matsuya is a chain of restaurants all over Japan that mainly serve donburi. Some are 24hr and all are open from breakfast til late. Most of the meals consist of stir-fried beef over rice, but there is also some with veg, fish, chicken, and maybe even steak and eggs on a hotplate. Funnily enough, the... More

There are branches of Sukiya all over Japan. They offer a limited menu of sukiyaki, but it is quite traditional, and the sets are very good value. It is easy to eat very well here for 400 yen per person. Service is extremely friendly and cheerful, and they usually have an English menu - although it is easy enough to... More

We first saw this fast food restaurant walking to our hotel from the train station late night, it attracted us because it was well lighted and clean, the menu is simple with pictures, great for foreigners like us and prices are reasonable. We returned the next day for lunch just to try it out, since then we frequented this establishment... More
