Best Sushi in my Life!

A traditional sushi house of the finest order. Expensive, yes - like everything else in Japan. But, a semi-private Sushi Chef, most delicious, freshest fish painstakingly prepared. Not only delicious, but beautiful as well! Will definitely return!

Kubei in Ginza apparently is well known to travellers. It is hard to make a reservation and time allowed in restaurant is limited to 1 hour 50 minutes. I felt that I was rushed. When I came out, I saw a long line of people, including many foreigners, waiting outside the restaurant. Their sushi is very good, no doubt, but... More

this dinner is the first meal after arriving Tokyo , we know that this restaurant serves delicious food, so we booked it earlier and try its food( sushi mainly). We arrived at about 6:40 pm, but the restaurant is almost full and crowded. The atmosphere is very good in the whole 5-floor restaurant. We sat in a sushi bar. The... More

We wanted something very special for our christmas day lunch so we booked this restaurant before we left for tokyo. We were not disappointed at all. WE had a wonderful time, and the sushi is second to none. The quality of the food is simply spectacular and the skills of the chef are bordering on the jedi :) We ate... More

On our first visit to Tokyo we wanted a special dining experience for Christmas Eve so we booked well in advance through our hotel. What an amazing and personal experience, with a sushi chef preparing and serving our group of 4 the most amazing food. The theatre of the food preparation and skill involved was fabulous to watch. Being greeted... More

Hands down one of the best dinning experiences I have ever been to. Check out the history of this restaurant in the Wall Street Journal - this place is attended by some of the wealthiest in the world. http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB118695458692295388 Mr. Imada served us personally - which was incredible. Food, drinks and service were the best I had during my trip.... More

We ate here on a night that the restaurant was not as crowded as normally so we had a relaxed meal. Its a bit larger than many sushi restaurants which can make it seem less intimate, but we sat at the sushi bar and interacted continually as they were preparing sushi. The sushi was fresh and creative.

Superb sushi and great atmosphere with jolly sushi chefs. The sushi is immaculate but the reason it stands out is you can tell the chefs have a real love and sense of food. They fry up the prawn heads and put it on your plate to taste( yum), the meal ends with a thin sandwich of daikon discs with a... More

I live near this restaurant. Frankly, I do not want so many tourists to come to my favorite sushi restaurant.,but I do not want international guests to leave Tokyo without experiencing the very best sushi, either. The quality of food, presentation, and service here will surpass your expectation. Lunch is reasonably priced and most recommendable. The staff here are friendly and never intimidating to... More
