This was our very first restaurant in Tokyo....and Wow..what a great beginning of our holiday! Fantastic experience, excellent service, our chef was one of the oldest guy in the kitchen and he was such a good laugh! We went for the 150.000 yen set menu. Incredible fresh Sushi. We even dared trying the sea cucumber pickles! Each single sushi was... More

Probably one of the best meals I ever had, absolutely sushi heaven. Trying to think of something negative but except the relatively high price (absolutely in line with quality though) I couldn't find anything. Great variety, incredible quality of ingredients, couldn't be fresher (my sushi was still moving, no joke !!!!). Good atmosphere, absolute must when in Tokyo.

Let me start off this review by saying I'm not even a big sushi fan -- but my husband is, and for his birthday (on our last evening in Tokyo) I wanted to take him for sushi at Kyubei. We were not disappointed. Thanks to our Japanese friend, we were able to get reservations and a table at the sushi... More

What an amazing restaurant! Food was excellent, and the sashimi and the lobster were so delicious. Just try it if you are at Tokyo.

It's one of the most exclusive sushi restaurants in Tokyo. One of the most expensive, but even if you've eaten quite a bit of sushi, it's almost a different experience. The settings and food are classic, nothing done fancy, but the flavors, and the careful attention to detail, combinations textures, sauce, and freshness was uncanny! If you enjoy sushi, do... More

Sushi was good. Service was good however extremely expensive! That is not clear in the reviews or the page. Made for a good story! I'm sure there are palates sophisticated enough to comprehend the cuisine (Nicholas Cage apparently), however for the average sushi eater, it was over our heads.

My friend was able to arrange a dinner at this established Sushi restaurant in Okura. The rumor (in Japan) says that President Obama actually preferred Kyubei's sushi, so he did not finish the course at Jiro. I had an Omakase which included Sashimi & Sushi, and all the pieces were fresh. The conversation with the chef was also enjoyable and... More

From hating tuna into loving tuna !!! Other than the amazingly fresh fishes, what really blew my mind off is this "supposed to be" ordinary Tamago. 5 stars for food, service and ambience !! Pictures on my blog: engellpeh.blogspot.com

Food was amazing, food was so fresh and so abundant. Chefs were friendly. Dining atmosphere is great. If you're in a big group I recommend this place. We waited bout 15 minutes for our table to be ready, it was worth it. You won't regret it. You'll probably have to book in advance but it is a terrific experience.

We took quite a while walking around Ginza to find this place but were grateful to get seats without a reservation at around 8pm on a Thursday evening. The staff were polite and the sushi chef was friendly, but obviously lost interest quickly when we did not praise each and every dish presented to us, due in part to our... More
