Sushi Yoshitake, three michelin starred sushi restaurant

Obsession with perfection and its absolute best a human being can offer in making a simple dish such as sushi. The color of the sashimi and rice with the dim light setting made it the most beautiful piece of art that one can see. The food was amazing, Im not going to go through all of the courses... read more

This is not an easy review to write for two reasons. The first is that one of the primary reasons for our trip to Tokyo was to eat here, and coupled with the price / reviews / michelin stars, our expectations were set to a sky-high level. The second is that it is really two restaurants sourcing from the same... More

Premium sushi at a premium price. My girlfriend and I were excited when chef Yoshitake said that he may open a restaurant in our hometown of Manhattan next year. He should fit right in, as he delivers some seriously delicious fish, combining some incredibly high-quality classics (toro, eel, etc.) with a few of his own unique creations. If you’re on... More

I love sushi and have grown up eating all types of sushi, but Sushi Yoshitake was really a sushi lovers dream. As the seating is intimate with only 7 seats at a time, you get the chefs undivided attention. Yoshitake really brings the experience to the next level and its like sitting in on a master chef class where you... More

I was in town for the week and wanted to try a high end omakase sushi. This and Sushi Nakazawa are the best I've ever had. This wins out because the sake was excellent (disappointing at Nakazawa) and very reasonably priced. I had 2 carafes for 3000 yen total. The sushi experience is divine. You start with a series of... With only 7 seats in the sushi counter, this is probably one of the hardest sushi restaurants to book in Tokyo, and it did not disappoint us. Chef Yoshitake only prepares one fix menu for all guests, and the menu has combined the best of sushi, with fish such as Fatty Tuna, Bonito, Shrimp, Crab etc.. His ability to speak... More

We had an absolutely perfect meal at Sushi Yoshitake! We made a reservation for 3 and ended up in the private counter, which is separate from the 7 seat original counter. While initially upset about this situation, we found the 'apprentice chef' to be absolutely amazing. In fact, he is a 'master chef' but since there can be only 1... More

Enjoyed the dinner here. The counter seats only 7 persons. The executive chef was very welcoming and the staff spoke English. The set menu is a combination of appetizers & sushi. The service was pretty good - kept refilling the hot tea when the level dropped down without our request. They had a written menu of the course & the... More

This seven seat restaurant is an intimate setting for an outstanding chef and his crew. Watching them in motion is like watching a ballet. The menu, tonight, had 7 appetizer items followed by 13 Sushi items. Fish we have eaten before tasted different -- a salute to the freshness of everything as well as preparation. Although portions were individual pieces,... More
