Beyond Fabulous!

Sushi in Japan can not be compared with sushi in the States. Even the "cheap" sushi in Japan far exceeds most of what is available at home. That said, there is delicious sushi, then there is Seamon! Last dinner out with the husband and it was just wonderful! Located in the Fashion Village area in between a couple of dept. stores on the sixth floor - 6F. Also, the name Seamon is nowhere on the outside of the building or list of names - it is written in Japanese-just look for 6F. You will take a small... More

Sushi is a common gastronomical experience in Japan. Seamon is not an experience - it is a gastronomic Fest. Fresh fish and sea food, presented in the most attractive and "designed" way, great service and basic English guidance. This IS a place to conclude a beautiful trip to JAPAN, as we did. Go with the "taste " dinner, which presents... More

A novice when it comes to sushi, I wasn't at all sure that I was going to enjoy this restaurant choice. But, as the saying goes, when in Japan... Finding Seamon's was our first challenge, unlike any restaurant we'd ever been to, it was on the 6th floor of a high-rise building! Fortunately our hotel had booked us the counter... More

Our party of 4 had the omokase (Chef's Recommendation). We sat in the middle of the lacquer counter and basically the sushi chef in front of us handled all of our dishes. It is a great experience with exquisite nigiri and some other special creations that are cooked but basically all of the seafood variety. The beverage selection was also... More

We just arrived I Tokyo today from San Francisco - read on Tripadvisor about Seamon - so my husband and I tried it - pleasantly impressed with such a wonderful world class intimate sushi restaurant experience - we ordered the chef's choice tasting menu and were there for over 2 hours and must have had at least 18 courses -... Red lacquer counter, on the other side a Chef taking care of the sushi creations for guest seating in front. You chose your menu (3 to 4 options eg Chef's recommendation at 15'000 JYP) and you are asked if there is anything you don't enjoy eating). Food is amazing, well presented and the whole thing is having a Chef preparing... More

Main, and best, seats at the long red lacquer counter. Few private tables available. Good delicious sushi! The only downside was the loudness and chitchat between the chefs! A bit too casual for the price range.

We read the reviews and came here for sushi, and had the best sushi we've ever had in our lives. The service was friendly and we ate things we never ate before, but each one was beautifully presented and absolutely divine. This is the one to try!
