Everything we tried was super fresh and absolutely melt in your mouth food. I particularly recommend the sake toro (fatty salmon), but you can't really go wrong with any of the items. Nothing like sushi for breakfast just outside of the world's largest fish market.

Oh my god. I imagined that having sushi next to the biggest fish market in the world could have been a unique experience. However I was shocked when I had the first bite and the tuna melted in my mouth. Not talking about the freshness of its taste. I was speechless, a unique feeling I never experienced in my entire... The locals always know what's best and that couldn't be more true that at Sushizanmai. There's a couple of these restaurants bordering the fish market, which helps when the lineups get long. The fish is out of this world; butter smooth and directly from the ocean.

It was our last night in in Tokyo and we had wandered of to all sorts of places far wide on every other night. We had walked past Sushizanmai so many times and now we wondered why we hadn't tried it earlier. Well, tonight was going to be the night. We walked in off the street and were immediately ushered... Sushi Zanmai offers a great variety of sushi, sashimi, fish donburi, etc. My first picture presents only a sushi menu with prices. All that I ate was very fresh and excellent in taste. I can definitely recommend a donburi that is shown on the second picture. Besides eating, you can also enjoy watching busy chefs (the third picture). Finally, I... More

During my recent stay in Tokyo I ate at Sushizanmai Honjin 4 times. The food was consistently delicious. I ate sushi also at a number of other places in Tokyo, but Sushizanmai was my absolute favorite. The variety of sushi was great, and as we were seated at the bar each time, it was fun watching the chefs prepare sushi... More
