I love this restaurant. This was my second time here and it lived up again. Firstly, what a beautiful room. Like a jewel box. The sushi is exceptionally good. The set menus are a good way to go, leave it in the sushi masters hands. He is very personable, has some good English, and talks you through the meal and... More

The view is very nice, that's for sure. From the 36th floor Tokyo is a beautiful city. And Mandarin Oriental has wonderful staff and service. However, the sushi here I found to be just average. Maybe it was the rice or the fish, I'm not sure which one but something about it didn't make me think "wow." Also, when I... More

The sushi was amazing! The quality of the fish was beyond anything I have eaten in North America. I had tuna, eel, a flat fish (can't remember the name) and sardines. I normally hate sardines, but not these!

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending an evening at the sushi restaurant of Mandarin Oriental. This was a truly unique experience and by far the best sushi meal in our existence. 2 chefs for 8 customers. Focus is one quality and not quantity. Prices are in range for 1 michelin star restaurant.

This is by far the best sushi I have ever had. Pure marvel. Pricey but worth every penny. The seasonal fish (striped jack) was the most sublime experience I have had. The fatty tuna was also grandiose.

We chose Sushi Sora, as we wanted to have a top sushi eating experience, in a serene location. This restaurant particularly scored for us very high, as the cook was explaining us a lot of tradition and various elements of the food, which for us as food-lovers was superb. In other restaurants sometimes the staff drills up all the ingredients... More

Came here for the last night of my stay in Tokyo, and I could barely have asked for a more underwhelming or disappointing way to end the trip. The fish was of average quality and not very fresh. The rice itself was not sufficiently sticky. I ate at a neighborhood sushi place the night before, and that had better quality... More

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
