If you are up for an experiment in dining, this place is for you. I am a follower of Modernist cuisine & these guys take it to a new level. Food was exceptional, wild presentation & a toolkit to use along the way... Well worth the money & a great experience. Only 2 sittings per day & limited to 8... More

Located in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Tokyo, this is a hidden gem. I made the reservation a month prior to our trip to Tokyo. I'm glad we did. Seats 8-10 at the action counter. You participate in the energy of the food preparation. Expensive, but a steal if you can afford it. Optional wine/sake pairings, or an optional special... More

One of the most memorable meals I've had in 20 years living in Tokyo. Chef Ping is a genius and his works of art should not be missed.

Fantastic restaurant experience with a beautiful view to match. This place exceeded expectations with being able to interact with the chefs (English speaking and entertaining), cleverly presented dishes, deliciously filling, and attentive service. It's expensive, but well worth it. Definitely the place for Japanese food with a difference!

This is not a typical sushi, teppenyaki or tempura restaurant. Here, you experience innovative molecular cuisine. Every course is innovative and extremely interesting. The chefs explain how they cook and what tools should be used to consume the food. The entire experience is a lot of fun. The menu is changed every quarter. Also, if you are allergic or prefer... I am not a regular at top-end restaurants, but a few times a year my husband and I will have a few meals over $80 USD per person. At the price of 15,000 JPY per person (approx $150 USD per person at the time of our visit), this is our favorite restaurant experience. We booked our reservation about a month... More

This meal was a heightened culinary experience like a dinner & show in one. Definitely worth the price. The experience starts with the amazing view of Tokyo (best from the bathroom). Also, if you didn't want to spend the $$ for dinner, you can just get drinks in the lounge and enjoy the view. The excitement really begins when you... More

We visited this bar in December. My wife initially was very skeptical as she thought that the small portion of food would not be enough for dinner and was planning fro some after dinner night snacks. We were totally wrong. From the beginning till the end, we were offered 15+ courses and each of them were meticulously prepared in front... More

This was our first experience of molecular food and we were very happy to have tried it. The staff to begin with are superb. Friendly, welcoming, excellent english and happy to have you there experiencing this food. We had a 16 course meal of exciting and innovative food that we had never experienced before. Wonderful flavours and high quality ingredients... More

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
