a good experience

The service was excellent, and the oysters were tasty! Would recommend to try it. It seems to be a popular place so do reserve in advance on the weekend.

We are here after a long walk in the park and it was a great find. Great oysters but not just that, also a lovely Dover sole was their fish of the day, cooked by a chef with a real attention to detail. A starter, 2 main courses, a desert, 3 drinks and 2 coffees, ¥6000.

Very good choice of fresh or cooked Oysters. With good matching wine. I tried the fresh Hiroshima Oyster, then the surprising " deep fried" and a nice finish with the oven cooked with bechamel sauce. Along with a nice french white Macon - Viré . An overall very pleasant experience, at a fair pice.

After an unsuccessful attempt to stay overnight at Ako for my oyster meal, I was glad to find this place at the time I returned to Tokyo for some fresh oysters… There were several locations for this oyster bar chain in Tokyo and I picked the one in Ginza area ( 8-9-15 Ginza, Jewel Box Ginza 8/F.) From the instruction... More

Ostrea was a new experience for me. I had at times had a few oysters through the years but never before had an oyster meal. I was brought to Ostrea for a business dinner and what a surprise! The range of choices was significant; oysters from various regions of Japan as well as international and the server could tell the... More

Fresh Oysters from around the world. If you can only go once, then select the Full Course menu. For us it was easily an eight course selection from the chef and every dish was amazing, including oysters 3 different ways. The service was formal and on point, but still friendly, with the staff knowing enough English to get you what... More

We will dine tonight again, for the third time in the last month, at the Oyster Bar "Ostrea". The food has been faultless and at 1000 yen [or even less] a dish, this is incredible value for Tokyo. The dishes are tapas style but quite generous---four filled us up for dinner and with a bottle of Spanish cava, the evening... More

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
