Disclaimer: did not actually get to try the food Arrived at the row where sushi dai and daiwa sushi are both housed at around 6:35am after a futile attempt at catching the tuna auction and decided to go for daiwa as it had the shorter queue. As I found my way to the tail of the daiwa queue, I was... More

This is simply the best food I have ever had. Well worth the weight in a long line while standing in the almost freezing cold rain. I picked up some o-toro in the market and snacked on that while in line (there are worse things one could be doing). Everything is phenomenal and the uni as well as the egg... More

We got up REAL early to do the Tuna Auction and naturally wanted to eat here or Sushi Dai. Well, the line at Sushi Dai at 630am was already 40 people deep and likely a 2 hr wait. Daiwa is just 2 doors down and the wait was only 15 minutes. I have no idea how good Sushi Dai is,... More

Get there early(before 7am). This place is noted by a number of locals as being very famous! The restaurant is located in the Tsukiji market, so keep going past all of the outer market areas and follow the signs for the Market. If you have a Lonely Planet, make sure to look for the Kanji since most of the restaurants... More

After a very early morning visit to the Fish Market at Tsukiji, we joined the queue for Daiwa Zushi having had it recommended by a couple of friends & also in the Lonely Planet guide. It was worth the wait, as the food was great & our sushi chef was very entertaining - or maybe we were entertaining him trying... More

Fresh sushi with much shorter line than Sushi Dai. Menu was preset but we ordered more from the chef! Staff was super friendly.

We waited in a long line to get in here and the sushi definitely was not worth the wait. Though the fish was incredibly fresh, as is expected in the market area, the quality proved to be meh. The sushi chef really pushed the set (3500 Yen) and then dished it up fast-food style, dropping each piece hard enough in... More

I was expecting a lot regarding the freshness and fish quality and got a bit disapointed. The place is packed and you dont get the treatment you would get at 廣金 - Hirokane in Shibuya for instance in the same range of price;

The services are fine, and the atmosphere here is good. The waiting time is too long for me, I would prefer to other sushi restaurant if I know wait too long time. The sushi is fresh , but not the top quality of sushi.
