Great sushi - love the otoro!

I've been to the Sushi-Zanmai Bekkan on several occasions. Normally, we arrive early enough to avoid the line. However, on one Sunday afternoon, we had to wait about 20 minutes for two seats at the counter. The staff are friendly. Atmosphere is lively. Some of the staff speak English. One of... read more

I was in the fish market area in the evening and while not all of the sushi places were open, I did find two versions of the Sushizanmai chain. I went into this one as it had a much more casual feel and there were seats available. The menu and prices seemed similar for both. While I am not a... More

After you visit this place you would hardly want to try sushi somewhere else. That's the most close description.

Based on other sushi restaurants I visited in Tokyo & Yokohama this Sushizanmai Bekkan is one of the best. It's fresh and delicious. Has all varieties of Fish and tuna to select from. It worth to try it and give your feedback. It opens 24 hours a day and has chain restaurants in Tokyo but don't know about other cities.

Excellent Sushi location at Fishmarket area - also for "foreigners". Good quality, ultimatively fresh and easy to order - reasonable price for what you get. I've bee at the "Tsukiji 4-10-2 (Tsukiji Jogaisijo)" location cpouple of times and always very satisfied. Don't take toe stuff from the shown dishes - they will prepare every order fresh!

Sushzanmai Bekkan is part of a sushi restaurant chain with many locations across Japan. Unfortunately, this restaurant is just as average as a typical chain. Interestingly, this particular branch does not utilize kaiten (conveyor belt). The restaurant is a bit difficult to find if you actually try to locate it, but just go to the Sushizanmai web page (or TripAdvisor)... More

I am a big fan of kaiten sushi (or sushi buffets) - as I am commitment phobic when it comes to food choices. It's much more fun and satisfying to adjust your next dish based on how the meal is going. That said, many kaiten sushi places around Tokyo are of a more mundane "quick service" kind, and offer limited... More

The restaurant is a bit difficult to find in the middle of the Tsukjii market but well worth searching out. The food was excellent. We had the tuna plate (different cuts of tuna which taste really different), mixed sashimi and lots of 'a la carte' sushi including red snapper which was still flapping on the counter. You don't get fish... More

I am not an avid fan of sushi, and I'd rather have my seafood cooked rather than raw. But surprisingly, I enjoyed the food in Sushizanmai. All their sushi tasted so fresh, and even if it was a little pricey (for me at least) I can say that it was worth every yen. I especially loved the Salmon Roe Sushi,... More

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
