High in the Sky Dim Sum

While we were staying in Tokyo, I booked us a table for lunch at Sense located in the fabulous Mandarin Oriental hotel. I am a huge Dim Sum fan and I didn't want to miss the chance to taste Michelin starred yummy parcels of food. We were greeted with big smiles when we arrived and got taken to a... read more

The food was good at best; our main issue was the whole dining experience does not represent value for money in any way. We had a lot of excellent meals in our two weeks in Japan, some expensive some cheap. This was the only one we felt disgruntled paying for. We ordered fairly frugally and in return our waiter lost... A group of 10 of us ate at Sense - we had to pre-order the menu but the choice was lovely and the meal was excellent.

We were staying in the hotel and decided to eat here after hearing it had a michelan star. Firstly the view is fantastic - we were lucky to have a great window seat. Service impeccable. Food delicious. Enjoyed every second!!! Highly recommended!

If you want the best Chinese food in Tokyo, this is the place. Go on the weekends when they have dim sum, its made to order. The regular menu is pretty amazing and the Peking Duck is the best that I have ever had including the famous Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong

This elegant and sophisticated restaurant serves excellent Cantonese food and the dinner we enjoyed was one of, and possibly the , finest Chinese meal I've ever eaten ( including in several other Michelin starred establishments). The service is impeccable and charming and the views from the 37th floor are breathtaking . I'd also commend the sommelier's wine recommendations and we enjoyed... More

Sense is a wonderful restaurant to get above the hustle and bustle of central Tokyo. Located high up in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the Nihonbashi district, the restaurant offers a convenient location, and a superb view of the city. The restaurant is well-decorated, the staff are well-dressed and professional. We two were shown quickly to our table by the... More
