Perfect tempura experience

During our stay in Tokyo we have tried many restaurants, and Ten Ichi was one of the best ones. Tempuras are excellent, not greasy, very tasteful, the place is amazing itself and the service is impeccable. Worth recommending !

The tempura was prepared by the chef at the counter where you are seated. Every piece was a result of fresh ingredients and fine preparation without it being too oily. Do take note that the higher price can be slightly off-putting. Definitely worthy of a visit to get a taste of how tempura meal should be prepared in the authentic... More

This was one of the best meals in my entire trip to Japan. The tempura batter is very light and they cook their seafood just right. They make the food live in front of you which makes it even more exciting. The restaurant isn't the biggest or fanciest place but it is has an amazing reputation. The food is served... More

This is the original branch of what is now a little chain of tempura restaurants in Tokyo. The first thing to observe was the freshness of the ingredients arrayed next to the chef. The prawns were distinctly fresh, as evidenced by the fact that they were still alive; it does not get fresher than this. From live to in your... More

My third visit here over the last 4 years, the tempura is just unbelievable, need to book and get bar counter for best experience, is it worth it ? for the best tempura on the planet ? yes !, the humble surroundings all make the atmosphere great, problem is you will never be able to eat tempura anywhere else again

If you're looking for Tempura but at the highest level of presentation, taste, and sophistication, this is the place for you. Just be reminded that these qualities do not come cheap. Be ready to spend upwards of $120 per person. Worth it? Definitely! The $162-$190 per person....? I guess that's ok if you're making $1,000 a day.

We all know tokyo is expensive but wow!!! $190 for the top set menu and $162 for the mid???? Food is good and ambiance great but not worth it. It's fried vegetables and cooking oil.

Crunch, crunch, ... and savory are two words for Tempura, one of the most well known Japanese dishes the world are familiar with. It sounds as Japanese fast food meal, while most of tempura servings are, can we elevate these deep fried servings into something more majestic? Since the first time my colleague introduced me to Tenichi almost a decade... More

Unlike many Tempura restaurants, each piece is served one at a time to enable the eater to relish the freshness of the batter and enjoy the single piece of shrimp, prawn, sea food and vegetable. A pleasurable experience and a must try.
