Different experience

It's a different experience. You sit down at a bar where they batter and cook the tempura right in front of you. I love good tempura and this wasn't bad. It's not just your typical shrimp or yam tempura. There were a lot of other options. I think my fave were the scallops. It was melt in my mouth... read more

A sign that they can raise prices and the food is more Westernized than authentic! We saw this as the best tempura restaurant in the top 101 places in Ginza Time Out review. Despite the mixed reviews on TripAdvisor we went ahead as we were hungry and the private booth had space for our baby stroller. The prices are quite... More

Tempura quality is poor. The batter didn't taste light and flaky as Japanese tempura should be. It was reminiscent of a batter from a cheap fish and chips shop in the uk. While the actual pieces were good (sea eel, sea urchin, scallops, etc) it didn't taste as good as it should have with the batter. Over priced for what... More

Classic tenpura restaurant and we had our own room with another family. Tenpura was outstanding but the selected sashimi was not great. All in all a fun traditional experience only gave it 4 stars because price was a bit high.

If you've had any tempura in Japan by the time you read this review, save yourself the cash and go somewhere else in this amazing food town. Very missable.

Once more, our hotel concierge did not steer us wrong. First, street address are a challenge in Tokyo, and though we love to walk, were so glad that we took a taxi for the short ride to Tenichi Ginza Honten, as we would never have found it, even though we had walked the area earlier that morning - we were... We went there for a late lunch. My husband ordered a tsuki set menu worth 11 thousand yen! So expensive! My kids and I ordered a la carte of tempura, scallops, crab. The batter is good and crispy! Not oily. But really expensive!

This restaurant has the best Tempura! Fresh ingredients, nice place, great service. They prepare all your food in front of you. We asked for the fixed menu so they bring all types of tempura including seafood, fish and meat. Worth visiting.

I enjoyed my meal in this restaurant, but, in my view, it was worth trying once, but not worth returning to at its price. Service was excellent and the tempura chef was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the fish and the mushroom tempura the most, but found the prawns a bit underwhelming. I just didn't think it's head and shoulders... More
