We stayed at the Peninsula and had the opportunity to have afternoon tea here, which was a very nice event. The tea selection is nice and staff helped guide me to a tea that I LOVED! The snacks were filling and delicious! I would recommend the Lobby for a nice time!

The hotel had a set menu for breakfast rather than a sumptuous buffet! There were no freshly squeezed juices on offer other than the the regular canned juices. Not expected out of a 5* property. The menu as very Limited. In spite of paying for 2 Breakfasts, only one bread basket was kept expecting two guests to share a slice... More

The entrance to the lobby is small and the area of the lobby is cramped. There is insufficeint seatiing available in the lobby area, worsened by the fact that the hotel had installed a cafe on both side of the very narrow passage from the main entrance leading to other areas of the hotel. One if not told he is... More

The afternoon menu is light (a few pastas, a soup, a few salads, and one sandwich) or tea service. But the foods are fresh and tasty. The service is what you'd expect at the Peninsula (friendly, efficient, and helpful). The desserts come three to a plate and are light bits of heaven that melt in your mouth. The coffee here... More

As mentioned in my review on The Peninsula, Tokyo, this restaurant is located in the lobby of the hotel as you come through the revolving doors. Actually, it is more "The" Lobby, more so than "in" the lobby, because the entire area (except for two concierge stations to the left and right of the door) is taken up by the... More

Loved the chandelier and bamboo artwork. Great food at breakfast, with attentive and friendly service from the staff.

The lobby also doubles as a coffee shop, and the source of some disappointment; the evening meal. My crab sandwich was bland and unexceptional, and accompanied by a plateful of over cooked, nearly cold and greasy chips. A good thing I don't eat chips. Sleep in and eat out.

Would rather just go back up to my room to have coffee with the coffee machine in the room. The coffee at the lobby was around US$15 (w/the forex rate back then). It's not relaxing because there are people going in and out of the hotel.

the main restaurant for breakfast and tea is in the lobby restaurant and the design of the space is awkward. a bit chaotic and noisy because guests enter through the restaurant essentially.

not much variety in the menu, crowded with local businessmen. Service is excellent, nothing to complain. The hotel lacks a real restaurant.
