A Warm & Friendly Bar

While we only were there for a few glasses of wine, the service was great, and the views excellent. The wine list is more than adequate, with choices for all. The seating is comfortable, and we would love to return. Gentlemen must visit the mens' room. You will understand, when you do.

Peter is an expensive treat on the top floor of the Peninsula hotel, with good views over central Tokyo. A pleasant place for an evening drink. Food is also served. The decor combines chrome with leather and low purple lighting, and the ambiance after dark is oligarchical and slightly louche. But this is Tokyo, not Moscow, and it's unlikely that... More

Very nice place for us to have some quiet drinks with amazing views before heading out. The bar staff were really friendly and made our few times we went there amazing.

We had dinner here with Japanese colleagues and throughly enjoyed it. Be sure to reserve a table by the Windows! We had the four course menu with a delightful wine. The food was both delicious and exquisitely presented! Much to my husbands delight cigar smoking was allowed in the bar area. Don't ask me how they did it but there... More

This is the rooftop bar/restaurant of the Penninsula. We went there for pre dinner drinks with friends. It's cosy as the lights turn pinkish after dark. The restaurant part is in the front and offers nice views of the Imperial Palace. It's pricy but worth seeing.

the excellent cuisine matched the view, but also worth mentioning that wa couldn't help but hear the eclectic playlist, they had Bob Marley and the Pixies playing at some point. We really enjoyed it and asked the waiter about it, and he said they play Peter's (the owner) favourite songs. My sashimi style tuna carpaccio and fruit burger actually got... More

Nice place. Very nice view, but quite a small area. If you want a seat in the bar area get there 10 minutes early as it becomes full very quick.service is decent, but the ambience is key. Good for business meetings.

Peter is located on the 24th floor of the Peninsula hotel with stellar views of Tokyo's Imperial Palace Gardens and Hibiya Park. The service was perfect. Nice welcoming and professionalism of the staff. The menu is mainly meat with great steaks proposed as the famous Japanese wagyu beef. The decor is elegant and trendy. I choose the Kanmuri Jidori Oita... More

Peter the Bar has a nice view of Tokyo but the drinks and food are incredibly overpriced. We went during happy hour which only had a few options discounted and they weren't even the best ones. The restaurant which I had visited before is much better but again really overpriced.

such a dissapointment! one does expect a certain standard from the Peninsula, but this restaurant does not meet that at all. the view is nice, the food is okay (but it should be for that price), the service a kind of okay. the main problem is the smell of smoke - the restaurant is non-smoking, but when you sit in...
