Friendly and efficient service, tasty food.

I was a big fan of Elio's when I lived in Tokyo nearly 20 years ago, so was looking forward to going back there again last month for a friend's wedding party. The restaurant did not disappoint, and perhaps even exceeded my memories. Being a wedding party, we had a set menu of six or so courses... read more

Great food, atmosphere and service. All the staff are very professional and friendly. As well as Japanese, they speak both english and Italian which is uncommon in Tokyo. The atmosphere and setting of the restaurant reflect a typical southern Italian restaurant. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, dishes are beautifully presented and this makes the overall dining experience outstanding... More

We rode bicycles to this restaurant because there is virtually no nearby street parking on this narrow street. I was impressed with this restaurant from the moment I walked in. Although it is an upscale restaurant, I was dressed very informally in shorts and a T-shirt. The staff welcomed us in without hesitation and seated us promptly. Although some waiters... More

I went to this restaurant recently and was pleasantly surprised by the standard of service, food, and ambiance of the restaurant. It was a great experience, a cosy atmosphere, with authenticity provided by a European waiter and chef. The food service was efficient and our main course came very quickly, only a few minutes after the wine had been poured.... More

I am a fussy eater sometimes, especially when it comes to Italian food outside of Italy. Its so easily done wrong. Since being in Asia I refrain from eating Italian food most of the time unless the place has an Italian cook. When I knew I would be going to Elio and the cook was Italian, I had high expectations.... More

Nothing extraordinary we had dinner the food is average but service very good and the atmosphere is made by the italian guys treating you like a part of there crew . Place is very small but well maintain and clean . They use a bit too much cream in every pasta sauce not really great for a good diet but... More

I booked this restaurant as a birthday gift for my father. Personally I don't live in Japan so I was trying to organize the booking and payment in distance. I had several Email conversations with Eleonora. She was very helpful, friendly and even offered to prepare a birthday card. My parents went there for dinner and were extremely happy about... More

failure to eat here is tantamount to sacrilegious. i believe the negative reviews are written by some other mediocre italian restaurant in Tokyo (assuming one exists). don't believe the haters. this place is great. after eating enough sushi to make me grow gills, I was looking for some good pasta. This place has it. the prices are out standing. the... More

Elio's is a convivial and popular Italian restaurant near Kojimachi. But the food is really nothing extraordinary and the prices are quite high.

Staying in Yotsuya / Iidabashi

Neighborhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
