Comfort Filipino food

Five hungry people. They offered a set menu for us that filled us up and we still had a doggie bag for the Great Dane. That's the best kind. good and cheap. About P300 per person!

However, in Tagbilaran it didn't look like we had many other options, so we decided to give this restaurant... More

I love kare-kare, the standard Pinoy style with thick peanut sauce served with bagoong on the side. So when I saw in most Boholano menus the seafood kare-kare, I had to try it. Then it came in a pot, soup style. I was surprised it was soup and no bagoong. Upside is I didn't find any strong fishy smell (malansa)... More

It was my first time to try authentic Boholano food. Most of their dishes have the same name as Luzon dishes but are prepared differently. The seafood karekare did not have bagoong (shrimp paste). It was served as soup instead. The chicharon bulaklak in the menu was composed of pig intestines. The halang halang was like spicy chicken asado. But... More

I've been to Gerarda's 3 times together with my family. I love the food and the place. It's not really a budget friendly restaurant but its worth the money.
