One of a few places open on a Monday night. I had the beef brochette and it was cooked perfectly. This is the second time here and I will definitely return for great food and excellent service.

Le Village have reinstated the full menus so it's back to the wider choice, including things you won't find at other St Chinian restaurants (kidneys, pork cheeks...). The crepes are still on offer, but now amongst a wide dessert selection, all included in the fixed price menus, even the ice creams heavily laced with spirits. You even get a straw... More

We didn't know Le Village before it changed formats, so we approached it as a restaurant with a pretty creative creperie menu, with the option of several other dishes on the menu for those who don't want to make a meal of crepes. Our food was good, and the other plates that we saw come out of the kitchen looked... More

First night in St Chinian went for a meal in the Le Village. Found the waitress helpful and she had a very pleasant manner. Food was really great and wine really cheap and I mean really cheap. Nice price for the meal and ate outside by the church next to the road. Second time around a total different beat. The... More

We had been to Le Village several times a year ago, and loved it. We went back there again on our return to Saint-Chinian, and what a disappointment! It is now primarily a Creperie. Gone are the wonderful, creative menus! You are still able to get a full meal there, but the selection is extremely limited, and the final price... More

Le village has changed hands fairly recently and has become a creperie that also serves steak and burgers. The food is fine, but nothing special, the same applies to the service ... OK but not that great. Its a shame as the guys who has this restaurant before were very friendly and the food was good and wholesome and served... More

At the time of writing, June 2013 Le Village even though it looks exactly the same has become a Creperie/Burger bar! Really disappointing as this has always been one of our favourite places to eat. It was slightly embarrassing as we booked a table, sat down, ordered a drink, then started looking at the menu expecting the usual fare, only... More

We go to France around 3 times a year and always go to Le Village when we are there. The food is superb and great value. We always walk out very full as the portions are big. Staff are always very friendly and do not rush you at all. Le Village is mine and my wifes favourite place to eat.... More

I visited "Le Village" end September 2012 with some friends. We chose this restaurant because it was the coziest looking: it was already dark and too cold to sit outside. For only 17,50 euro we had a three course dinner: my starter was the carpaccio. My friends had mussels au gratin, scampis and goat cheese. All with a nice salad... More

We spent a fair amount of time checking the menus of the several restaurants in St-Chinian, and decided to try Le Village. We were so glad that we did! Not only is it unusual to find a dinner menu of 17.50 euros - but to find a really good meal at that price is amazing. I chose this lower-priced menu,... More
