Fantastic food!

Do not put off by the touristic looking entrance (when we saw it we left but then we decided to truct the TA reviews). Ask for the fish of the day and he can bring you the fish he has to choose. Cooked to perfection, the fish was fantastic! Other tapas also tasty. The atmosphere is lacking a bit... read more

3 of us eating of the menu . Excellent value , good food and good wine . Should have had those salt boiled potatoes because the chips were dull . I asked for a salad to replace the soup starter and it was great . So was the spoonful of soup that I had . So that really just leaves... More

Visited El Capita a number of times during a one week stay in the area. This was our favourite restaurant of a number which we visited in las Nieves. We tried a number of the seafood dishes and all were great and very fresh! Especially enjoyed the paella, prawns and on our last visit we had the special 'catch of... More

This review is for the El Capita in Puerto de las Nieves, at the port of Agaete. All of the seafood we ordered was cooked to death and covered with a grave sauce (pun intended). Scallops were broiled to little wads covered with green sauce. Calamari was very good. Salad looked like it came from Red Lobster, complete with tiny... More

After reading reviews here on TripAdvisor, we looked forward to some really nice fresh fish in Agaete. The service at this restaurant was excellent. Everyone was very kind, English was mediocre, but we understood what the waiter was saying. Our waiter also recommended a very nice Spanish wine to go with our fish platter. We got a small plate of... More

Specialities are fish and seafood, which you can order as multiple tapas to enjoy a varied meal. Good service: ask them to advice you on both food and local wines. Great value for money. Busy with locals in weekends, so better book ahead!

The owners of this beautifully situated restaurant are warm and friendly. We had the mixed grilled seafood platter for two and it was more than enough. Extremely fresh and so well prepared! A bargain at just 24 euros! The view of the fishing harbor is a complete bonus.

The staff were super friendly and the mixed paella they served were one of the best dishes we had on Gran Canaria.

Had a evening meal here and a nice experience. I tried the fish of the day which was very tasty and my wife had veal which she also enjoyed. The portion sizes were good and the surroundings pleasant. Good service and value for money. Worth a visit.

We came here because locals say that Agaete is the best place to eat fish and El Capita is the best restaurant according to tripadvisor. The place itself is really lovely as well as this small town. But the food is only average to my taste. I have tasted better fish in Cafradia on Fuertoventura. So it will be better... More
