Very lively, pretty tapas bar with tables in the back. Extensive menu. My wife and I are still reliving the "bikini" sandwiches; Iberico ham, manchego cheese and shaved black truffles. I also enjoyed the lamb kidneys sautéed in a sherry wine reduction. Taberna also serves an olive oil varietal at the table with bread and olives, (it was piqual the... More

After a brief visit last year then supporting reviews, we decided to give it a go this year. Bread and oil, green with more green salad...oily monkfish and smaller than average fillet even when the large size was asked for...at least the white wine passed the test. At over 80 euros, it didn't really scream value for money too. We... More

There were 5 of us and we arrived at about 9.30. It was busy, and there was some confusion as to who was our waiter. The service was indifferent, but friendly. The quality of the food helped to compensate, but we still felt we had not had an exceptional eating experience. If you enjoy Tapa consider going to the La... More

Very good food, try the tapas menu and you will be surprised. If dining at the bar you can see all the different dishes being served. Try the Tarima Hill red wine. I can also recommend Grilled green asparagus with ̈romesco ̈ sauce and steak with fresh garlic.

On our first day we asked at our hotel for recommendations for places to eat. La Taberna del Gourmet one of the places was just about 6 doors down the road from the hotel and we ended up going there 3 times. The first night the place was packed but very quickly a table was found for us. Food was... More

If you love good food in comfortable surroundings with excellent service then look no further. I absolutely loved this restaurant. The lady who I assume is the manager is exceptional. We arrived without a reservation and she swiftly seated us (4 adults and a child) at a huge table in a quiet area of the restaurant. It almost felt like... More

This was our second visit to La Taberna. We opted for the tasting menu which was simply wonderful. The Iberian ham was exceptional as was the tuna tartar. Good wine selection including dessert wines from 1964 at only €4 a glass! Service was good. We arrived at 1pm on both occasions to find the place empty - rest assured by... More

Food was excellent, location is perfect - but service could be better. Everything took a long time even if it was early evening with only one other table busy, and the staff did not seem to pay much attention. For example; after one glass of wine to start with, we decided to get a bottle as we understood that things... More

We had a fantastic time at La Taberna-its a great local restaurant serving up amazing tapas. There was plenty of variety and the dishes tasted really fresh-you can see that the food has been prepared with care and attention to detail is impressive. We enjoyed all our dishes and particularly the baby clams, tuna tartar & black rice with seafood!... More
