Very good beach restaurant

Great value restaurant on the San Juan beach, 15 minute tram ride from Alicante. They specialty is Arroz Domingo, a huge plate of rice with clams, shrimps and "mero" fish covered in home made sauce. Chupitos, gambas a la plancha and croquetas are outstanding and a must try.

I was recommended this place from a colleague who knows Alicante well, and assured me that it was a decent place to enjoy a good rice ("arroz" or simply the local paella), a local specialty. We were attended to well by the staff, and the waiter was a professional, nice and attentive host who recommended a couple of dishes and... More

Completely let down by the terrible service received from the guy in the main picture holding the Paella dish. He forgot to bring 2 fantas after reminding him three times! of which they put on the bill all three after only ever receiving one. He then refused to take them all off the bill claiming that I had 2, I... More

What better than eating a Paella and seafood on a sunny Sunday at the beach? This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend (local resident of Alicante). It´s enjoyed by locals since it's in a quieter area of Playa San Juan, with fewer tourists around. We went on a Sunday in November and the restaurant was packed! The waiter... More

I had terrible service including never receiving our two waters after reminding him once, never getting our second glasses of wine (which is odd since he asked us if we would like more wine), and he missed the flan I ordered. This wouldn't be so bad if he was at least courteous during his service. However, the waiter often tossed... More

Located on the beach so in the weekends it might be very busy so if you haven't made a reservation, make sure you show up early. Great for having lunch, all kinds of sea food but the meat is a lot better then you might expect from a seafood restaurant. Wine is cheap and not bad at all. Nice service... More

If you don't speak Spanish, and haven't done a tapas bar before, it's a bit daunting when you first go in. It's very busy, and obviously is a local favourite. To their credit the staff were more than helpful, and helped us figure out what we wanted, even through our 'prasebook Spanish'. We had lunch here on a few occasions,... More

A restaurant on the beach at the quiet end of Playa De San Juan. Was full on our arrival so joined the queue for a table. We had one of the menus of the day (for 2 People) and our paella was fetched to the table for our approval. Nice three course meal, water and a bottle of wine 37.50... More
