My first positive impression was the large, spotlessly clean kitchen and her 3 robust cooks. I knew immediately that I was in for a culinary adventure. The cooks smiled at us from their steaming pots and gave us a look of; "Welcome to our establishment. You are in good hands". Needless to say I was not dissappointed. Every dish was... More

This is a fantastic looking restaurant and from how busy it was it is certainly popular. Despite how busy it was the staff were on top of everything, which is no small thing! Was the season for roast goose, it's just a shame that the hotel I was staying in served me the same thing the night before but it... More

Very pleasant restaurant , inside and out. Excellent service, friendly, pleasant and efficient- went out of their way to please. We were a group of 20, had cocktails outside under the trees and had a separate room for dinner. The decor is cosy and warm- great for groups but you will always find the quiet places in this restaurant for... More

It started as a mill back in 1422 and is now a fine restaurant. Local foods are featured when possible on an outstanding menu. Our party of six was happy with every meal served. The server knew her menu and gave good advice.

I have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions and I cannot fault the quality of the meat they supply, especially during the game ("wild") season. I cannot say it is faultless - they are not, generally, very good at cooking vegetables (raw butter-beans, raw potatoes) but the rest of the meal, and their excellent cellar, makes up for these... I chose this restaurants based on their online, advertised Asparagus menu. Unfortunately, when we got there no Asparagus was available - they üublished it too early. Further, no English menus were available - very annoying especially if you there with 7 non-German speakers. Only one of the waiters spoke a little English, so it was up to me to translate/order... This is just a great place. Take a taxi for about a twenty minute ride outside of downtown Frankfurt this little gem. It is furnished in the most beautiful way, with incredible detail paid to each little room where dinner is served. There are perhaps five or six little dining rooms in this house, which is decorated to the hilt.... More

high quality German and Italian cuisine in a very nice setting. I recommend the Gravalax with Rosti starter and the Venison with Mushrooms, both were exceptionally tasty. The restaurant has rooms as well, these are of a good standard, comfortable but with some rather old plumbing.........apart from that a good choice if you are in Dreieich.
