After a day at the beach in almadra we checked tripadvisor for restaurant recommendations and decided to try the Le Fou place. Because it was already a bit late, we called and had somebody on the phone with fluent English giving us good advice how to get there and where to put the car. Put the car at Placa Mayor,... More

We had our Hawaiian "ohana" in town for a couple of weeks and brought them to our favorite, and "go-to," French restaurant in the Valencia area. The personal service, top of the line beverages, and superb cuisine, was exactly what we and our Hawaiian visitors were craving. A must visit for those in the Valencia area! In fact, we'll be... My wife and I tried to find a place to take a friend out for dinner in the Sagunto area. Le Fou seemed like the right place: most reviews were very good, highlighting its privileged location, high food quality and "fast service" used to look after large groups. While it wasn't easy to find the restaurant, it was a worthwile... More

I'm a tour guide in the Valencia area and arranged a lunch for 40 Americans- a total success! They really know how to handle groups, unlike some places who only think they can in this area, but have no real experience. Here it was fast service (for group standards in Spain), excellent quality of food with a French-Spanish fusion and... More

PROS innovative food with taste, competive price, modern, old area of the city with beautiful narrow streets. CONS complicated acces for car, not for old people due steep ascent

After reading reviews we found Le Fou delightful. Helped with the menu choices by Francoise we enjoyed Figs with ham and goats cheese, seafood curry and Pasta with seafood. Beautifully cooked, presentedand eaten on a terrace over looking the castle and theatre. I cannot recommend this highy enough .

Sagunto is a fairly run-down place, dominated by a disused steel mill and a rather sad seaport. It's about 20 minutes from Valencia, and you'd need a very good reason to make the trip. Luckily, I had a good reason, and ended-up in this place. It's in the old part of the old town, sandwiched between the vast castle (why... More
