Smashing village pub but it could be outstanding with just a little effort. very good lasange and roast pork dinner. My wife had opted for the roast beef but they had run out at 7.30pm. Sweets took a long time to arrive. Tighten up on these things and it could be a fabulous place.

we visited this pub at lunchtime on a Wednesday and really enjoyed the meal. There were 4 of us and we all agreed it was good value for money with the 2 4. 1...the food was well presented and tasty. Will visit again when next in Coventry

We were passing and decided to stop for something to eat. It had been a very long time since we had ventured into this establishment. We were pleasantly surprised. The décor was lovely and welcoming and the food and service very good. We will definitely be going back in the very near future.

We have visited the Royal oak and it's a gem of a find, a little out of the way but if you enjoy real ale and fine food then take a visit. if you intend to go at the weekend I would suggest you book to avoid disappointment. just a little tip, book a table upstairs as the bar area... More

We've been here a few times and cannot fault the food. They have a decent menu and a main usually costs you around £10 avg but it's great value if you go when it 2-4-1, mostly lunchtimes. Have a look on their website before you go to find out exact hours for the offer. We've been on an evening and... More

I stayed at the Brandon Hall just up the road from this pub. The food at the Royal Oak is quite good and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient and so I can recommend this establishment based on this visit.

Nice location with free carpark. Railway line runs across the other side of the road and trains ran frequently during visit. Nice variety of beers. Menu has all the usual pub meals, although some are a little pricey compared to other venues locally. Service was acceptable. Sat outside in small lawned beer garden. Grass was desperate for a cut and... More

Everything looks very promising. Nice pleasant surroundings, good menu and selection of beers etc. I ordered the burger with stilton cheese topping so not very adventurous and not much could go wrong but what arrived was very ordinary. Supermarket quality burger and side salad was very average. The food arrived in good time but ordering extra drinks and paying for... More

If you are looking for good service don't come here. Whilst two people ordered a simple starter we had to wait for over an hour for our meals. Moral is if you wish to eat here make sure you have plenty of time !
