Guide books tend to steer people away from restaurants on main squares with tourist menus. Boy, in the case of Ambaradam, were they wrong! After spending the previous day searching through the back streets of Tarquinia in search of a restaurant (a frustrating task) , my husband and I strolled up the street from the National Museum, and decided to... very original and well thought out Italian dishes. Good service, good wine choice, great location. This is for those who love Italian food, but with a difference

we had a great experience here very good value fish diner. Many tables reserved for locals arriving after work.Always a good sign of quality and we were not disappointed .Good relaxed atmosphere, don't be in a rush! Each plate was very generous and the bill much less than I expected. As good as any restaurant down at the Lido!Certainly recommend .

We happened into this place by recommendation from a local friend and native Tarquinian. The food was spectatular and the wine was fantastic, ask for the house wine. We loved the risotto funghi and we are looking forward to our return later this year. Ciao Ciao

For the fourth time of posting: High expectations did the expected and let us down. Nearly 200 reviews -- and still a 4+ -- how could it be bad, we asked ourselves. Well, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. My advice is to lower the aforesaid expectations: it's not going to serve you. Pluses were good: friendly greeting,... More

I don't often choose a restaurant that advertising a fixed menu believing it too good to be true. This place had a nice appeal on the town square just a block up from the museum. For 12 euros we had bruschetta; choice of spaghetti; choice of caprese salad or chicken; water and service. Sign me up for that deal!! It... More

We were looking for a place to have lunch after having visited the Etruscan grave sites and stumbled on this from the outside small and on the inside simple restaurant on the main square. Our expectations were not particularly high. However, the insalata de mare proved to be the very best we had encountered in the course of a three-week... More

What can we say. We take our group there every year, and then, when the tour is finished we go back for dinner for two. Food is always perfect. Service is wonderful. The restaurant itself was build over Etruscan tombs and the owner recently excavated it so that you can go down into them...and have a drink at a bar!... More

I visited the restaurant with my group of 30 danish tourists. The food and the "house wine" was exelent. Outside is nice with a fine wiew of the square and inside you find a very calm room. I sat here and relaxed to all the sounds from outside. I´ll come back
