Had a walk uphill about a 1kilometer to reach the restaurant. Sat outside, which may have been a mistake on our part. Food and service were average. Inside had more atmosphere

Located in the center of town in front of the "Pallazo Communale". You can eat on the "terraza" or in the cool cellar dinning room. The menu had choices between pastas, fish and meat dishes. The tuna is Excellent en affordable. The service was good but lacked the typical Italian hospitality. Maybe because we were foreigners unable to speak fluent... More

I came to Tarquinia, for Ferragosto 2014, with a friend. We ended up having lunch at Ambaradam by chance - it was 1pm, we were hungry, it was hot, the place looked busy. There was a tourist menu ... though people were ordering it left and right we did not, and we didn't let it put us off (though, it... More

The best restaurant in town, suberb courses and dynamic and inventive responses to suggestions and special wishes. The owner and his staff are genuinely interested in giving you their best. A home from home in the very heart of Tarquinia. 5 stars!

Guide books tend to steer people away from restaurants on main squares with tourist menus. Boy, in the case of Ambaradam, were they wrong! After spending the previous day searching through the back streets of Tarquinia in search of a restaurant (a frustrating task) , my husband and I strolled up the street from the National Museum, and decided to... very original and well thought out Italian dishes. Good service, good wine choice, great location. This is for those who love Italian food, but with a difference

we had a great experience here very good value fish diner. Many tables reserved for locals arriving after work.Always a good sign of quality and we were not disappointed .Good relaxed atmosphere, don't be in a rush! Each plate was very generous and the bill much less than I expected. As good as any restaurant down at the Lido!Certainly recommend .

We happened into this place by recommendation from a local friend and native Tarquinian. The food was spectatular and the wine was fantastic, ask for the house wine. We loved the risotto funghi and we are looking forward to our return later this year. Ciao Ciao

For the fourth time of posting: High expectations did the expected and let us down. Nearly 200 reviews -- and still a 4+ -- how could it be bad, we asked ourselves. Well, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. My advice is to lower the aforesaid expectations: it's not going to serve you. Pluses were good: friendly greeting,... More
