It's definitely worth making the trip to this restaurant if you are in the Casares area. We went here twice in a short trip away in April 2013, whilst staying at a friends house just along the road. It had just reopened after 2 weeks of being closed due to refurbishment. The food and service are first class - I... More

After what seemed likes miles of driving along a mountain track (actually less than 2 miles!), we finally reached the Hotel Hermitage - and our initial fear was that it wasn't really the sort of place that would welcome a 7 years old, a 13 year old and their two mums! However, we were wrong! After ushing open the massive... More

We have been visiting this restaurant three or four times a year for the past three years. We have recommended it to friends and family. Each time we came away we felt we had experienced something special. Yes it's position in the mountains, the views, the service and of course the food was exemplary. However the chef has left and... We stumbled across the restaurant because of a sign at the end of a very long and rough road. We almost gave up because it was long way up a steep and windy road, I am glad to say we didn't, and we were rewarded with a good lunch which was superb value. An excellent menu dia for 11euros ,... More

We visted Celima with 2 friends on the 9th June for lunch. The big problem is that it is really hard to find, but once there your search is well rewarded. The Restaurant is part of a boutique hotel, fairly high up with great views of the Bay. On our visit we could see both Gibralter & North Africa from... More

We visited the Hotel Hermitage[Celima Restaurant] for lunch last Sunday as I have been wanting to go there for some time, so we braved the 1.8km steep, albeit now concrete, track. It is well worth the trip and the restaurant far exceeded my expectations. The staff were courteous, friendly and the food was amazing - up to 'fine dining' standards.... More

This place definitely worth a drive along the rural mountainous road. The views are only surpassed by the quality of the food. My second visit here and the first since the new chef has taken over. This one deserves a Michelin star for inventive interpretation of local food. Great wine cellar: ask the owner for a private tour!

This is a great place in the middle of nowhere! The food was really good, and the setting is beautiful. Its on the pricey side, but its so nice its worth it.
