Lovely authentic restaurant in idyllic setting

We stopped here on our first night in Casares. Truly authentic Spanish restaurant/bar full of locals (always a good sign) we enjoyed tortillas, chicken, steak and pork medallions - all lovingly cooked and very tasty. We visited 18th June. We made a reservation as we had been advised it could get pretty busy. When we arrived it was very quiet, and remained so throughout the lunch period. The service was polite and efficient, the menu varied but unspectacular. Many of the choices available are offered at most chiringuitos along the coast. She had the goat... More

Visited here with my family for lunch. Accommodating staff & tasty authentic Spanish food, but what really made this restaurant impressive was the view. This restaurant is ideal for admiring views down the valley & the circling Griffon vultures as well as golden eagles-Stunning!

We saw this place from the road and thought it looked lovely. The food was home cooked and delicious. Highly recommended!

Great family-run feel. Food like abuelita makes on a Sunday afternoon. Beautiful views. Friendly staff.

Excellent local cuisine - have been here a few times during our stay and never been disappointed - their speciality is for slow cooked authentic meat dishes like oxtail seasoned with cinnamon and cloves and goat chops. They also do a very fine stroganoff and large tasty steaks. Service is usually quick, friendly and business like. An excellent respite on... More

We came that way because we wanted to see Casares, on the way back we thought to stop for a quick lunch with our new born. We parked right outside the restaurant so they must have seen us getting out of the car and getting the pram and the baby ready to go inside, after 5 minutes we entered with... More

We wanted a filling lunch and certainly found it here. Portions were generous without being huge. Everything was hot and delicious. Service was quick, especially considering a Friday lunch crowd. But the absolute best was the explosion of flavor in your mouth. We shared 3 starters (sausages in wine, Casares cheese, and Spanish omelet) before diving into our main courses... More

This Venta is 15 minutes up from the N340 coast Road on the way to Casares. It is well worth the trip. Fab views over Estepona Mountain and the Med, delicious local food with staff who hardly speak English so it is authentic Spanish. Try the Cabra (Goat), Rabo de Torro (Ox Tail) and Morcilla (Black Pudding are excellent. I... More

I have been there last weekend with a group of friends and we had (shared) many dishes. I can say that the food was amazing as well as the great service. I am Italian and I know very well the Spanish food since many years. This was just unique, superb, genuine, homely cocked, and the desserts – all homemade- well, I... More
