Nice dinner experience ........

We spent a lovely windy evening in this restaurant. We had a draft beer 500 ml euro 6,90, 2 bottles of beautiful pitcher wine 500 ml euro 5'90 each and mouille and frites around 10 euros each. How nice not to be ripped off and the modules were great thank you ! The only "busy" restaurant on this... read more

This is rapidly becoming one of our favourite restaurants that has an increasing popularity with locals and tourists alike. Enjoy food and wine in a cosy setting on the port. A warm welcome from all the staff enhances the 'feel-good-factor'. The 3-course 'formule' menu, available lunchtime and evenings, is great value at 14.50€. Eric, the boss, caters for your every... We enjoyed the 14€90 3 course lunch menu, the food was copious, well presented & tasty. The only minus point was the quality of the white wine by the carafe, we wished we'd chosen a bottle.

On a Sunday evening I have to say we were a bit reticent to stop here, but were forced to do so as it was the only restaurant in the Port area that served something other than fish or shell fish as neither of our companions eat fish. An exceptional entreee "pomme de terre a la Peruvian" set the standard... More

As good as it gets to be honest! A family-run restaurant with relatively new owners and chef. Superb! We had the 14 Euro set choice - enjoyed the chicken especially - which had followed on from a delicious fish soup. Excellent service and really positive, friendly maître d'. really recommend it!

This restaurant has recently changed hands and was welcoming and attractive with the green and red cloths. The menu has a large enough choice with something for everyone. We had the menu at 19.90E , I had very tasty salad of gesiers of duck, well fried until crispy with copious oak leaf salad and fresh tomatoes, hubbie had small platter... More

We have eaten at l'Ambre Marine a couple of times recently. It's in a nice location overlooking the harbour with seating outside. At busy times there are a lot of people milling around but it doesn't really detract from the decent food. Service is acceptable and on our Escondido visit things were a little fraught. The waiter did explain that... More
