We dined at Sanboulou this evening, and it was excellent. The idea of choosing 3 tapas from a long list is a good one, and the Noix St Jacques with risotto we both chose were an excellent main dish. It is the best meal we have had in Meze.

Returned again this year and were certainly not disappointed. If you are in Meze please eat here. Food, ambiance and service are all excellent. The lunch menu for 15 euros is amazing: the tapas and crepes are wonderful and very different. I can't speak more highly of Sanboulou

My wife and I had Sunday lunch here recently. I'd popped in to book at 11.30am and a good job I did. When we arrived at 12.30 only our table was left! The 3-course meal at 14.50€ was great value. The excellent local wine was also great value at 6.50€ for half a litre. Plenty of tapas starters to choose... More

First let me say that my husband and I arrived for a late lunch and were pleased that the owner. Indulged us and let us sit down after 1 30 pm. There were three high points to our meal: fresh oysters on the half shell, nine of them as a starter on the 24 EU menu..hope I am right about... More

Decided to arrive early and eat in this restaurant as it was full by 1pm when we arrived last Wednesday. It was certainly worth the effort as the food was excellent. The tapas starter was interesting and certainly something different. You could choose 3 tapas from a long list if both hot and cold and you were given 3 good... More

Yes, you sit on plastic garden chairs, but what do you expect at 14 euros for three courses? The food is absolutely fine. For 2euros extra you can have six oysters as your starter. We were lucky to get a table for Sunday lunch, as the place was soon jam packed, mostly with locals. Madame put on the most extraordinary... More

The best thing in this restaurant is their "choose 3 tapas" for entree in their set menus. That gives everybody at the table a chance to get a bit of what they want. I do think though that they should work a bit on their Calamares Romana and their small fish balls. They seemed not to be done on site... More
